Does the motor spin in the motor grip with nothing from the gearbox? Or does it spin outside of the motor grip?

Sounds like you might need to adjust your motor height so it can engage the gearbox. Not sure if the base plate of your gun has one, but some have a little circular metal plate that is pushed by a hex screw to adjust the moor height. Make sure you have that plate, otherwise, the screw might mess up your motor a little bit. It may be a little hard to keep it in place, as it is light and it tends to fall to the side.

Also be sure to connect the correct connectors to their corresponding prongs on the motor.

Did you run both motor wires down the back of the grip, or one on each side of the motor? Usually the black (ground) is shorter than the red (positive). The black wire runs right down the back of the grip, while the red wire needs to wrap around the motor shaft and then down the back of the grip as well. If you run them down either side the motor won't be able to fit all the way into the grip and will pinch the wires.
