I was just wondering if people were interested in a CQB field in greater Lansing. By greater Lansing I mean 2 hours. I was looking around Canton or Farmington Hills but wanted to get peoples opinions on it. If there's enough interest I could be opening a pretty large Cqb field in the area. Post responses saying if you want a cqb field and where. If you answer where please give a reason. The reason can be as simple as "It's close to me." Thanks!

I think before we should start outlining why we would want a field in the Canton area, it would be good for you to go over your background on this and why you feel that you are capable of setting up and running a CQB field.
The reason I'm saying this is because you are not the first to mention this idea and you won't be the last. We have had a lot of people come here and ask for ideas and suggestions claiming to be 100% sure they were going to do it or their rich dad or relative was going to do it for them or they want to invest in a business and so far not one has actually worked out.
How determined are you at actually going through with this idea? Do you have any background running a business? Do you have any background hosting airsoft games? Do you have any ideas of how much rent, labor, insurance, and operating costs are going to be? These are all things you should have thought about and have not necessarily a complete answer but a general idea. In talking to some actual past and current CQB field owners, I can tell you that if you are in it to make money, its going to be very tough especially in the beginning and most fields don't last very long due to that.
This local area is a hotbed for airsoft in Michigan. If you put a good facility together while respecting the standard rules of the community, people will come. If its obvious right from the start that you have no idea what you are doing, you won't make it past this forum like the rest.

Yet another one of these threads. People have gotten my hopes up to many times for a field in the lansing area. There are a lot of old abandoned buildings that would make great fields in lansing but out of everybody that has made these threads, no one has followed through with it.
Why I want a field in the area? So I don't have to go an hour and half out of my way to go to a good organized field.
Answer the questions that arc posted and then I'll debate whether or not I want to get my hopes up again.
