Came across this www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=43882 The inteliScope Sighting System, I understand that this is a real thing for real steel weapons as well, but still, what are you gonna do when your 500 dollar (basing that on actually purchasing the phone without a contract) Iphone 5 catches a few bb's from behind and is utterly destroyed. It's a cool toy for anyone with the money to replace an Iphone like its nothing but beyond that it's impractical. I mean what the hell. This gets sooo many "what the f@#k was evike thinking"s in my book. Oh another thing, evike hiked up the price of Flakjacks to 50 bucks, while every other website still has them for around 30.

I'm sure plenty of people buy them as an alternative to some form of proper action camera. Good on Evike for selling things people will buy. Not sure how much experience you have in the business world, but I manage a small business. I carry a lot of products I don't particularly care for, but there are enough people out there willing to buy it that it makes it worth selling. Now, for a company like Evike that has tons of capital, both money and space, carrying a small item like this is kind of a no brainer. The iPhone market is hot, and people buy almost everything iPhone related, no matter how stupid the item is. I would be willing to wager they are making close to a $52 profit on each of those they sell. Is Evike still stupid? I mean shit, they'll sell you about anything. They even sell bulk packs of their package tape. At wholesale, they are getting it around .50 a roll. www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_143&products_id=27156I personally think they do a pretty good job from a business standpoint. They are very competitive with all the major airsoft providers, and honestly would probably put them out in front of Airsoft Megastore, as well as Airsoft GI. Cliffs Notes: Evike really isn't stupid.

Costs aside, I think it's a pretty cool idea, but I know I'd be too scared to put my iPhone on my gun. Besides bbs, I'm more scared I'd run with it and smack it against a tree or something.

Uhhh... Evike didn't produce this, they just sell it. It's called being a retailer... You must be extremely unintelligent to blame Evike for this, and you really don't have any reason to post this anyways. Why don't you just not buy it instead of whining about it?
Walmart, Meijer, Dunhams, Dicks, Kroger, hell, just about ANY store out there sells pointless shit. Does that make them stupid? Do you instantly post about a stupid worthless product you see for sale at Walmart? No, you laugh about it, and go about your day. Honestly, while I see this as impractical, it's still pretty damn cool.
TL;DR, Evike isn't stupid, Ogre is stupid.

This isn't even out of line for Evike, as they sell some real steel stuff too. Honestly, I think it opens up a market for more protective iPhone casings, similar to what the GoPro has. If someone eventually comes out with a super protective case that's compatible with this, it could be seriously worth something outside of just being iPhone paraphernalia.
[Edit] Also, Evike has enough haters around here, we don't need them to start broadcasting their little snit-fits about what they do with their own business.

I would just use that for a scope-camera type video, for an accuracy comparison or something. But for what it is, it's completely overpriced.

I saw at meijers they have a "scope" that mounts to the top of a nerf rifle and you slide your iPhone in it. Not going to risk my phone messing around out side and chance losing it but it is interesting.
