My first airsoft gun was a g3. I really like the style of it.
However, my first airsoft gun was also a JG g3, and i hated it.
So what are my options? i know CA sells one, but who else does? I'm not looking in particular for a CQB gun, so a longer barrel would be nice.
Thanks guys.

Tokyo Marui. That's all you need to know.

it all depends on how nice you want it to be, and how much are you willing to spend. mine started as a JG, and began upgrading. i think now the only remaining JG parts might be the trigger, bolt slide area, and maybe the outer barrel? not even sure on that, built it up years ago and just getting back into it now. modified the real wood stock and foregrip to fit, complete new internals, CA metal body, new barrel, modified hop-up. couldn't tell you how much i have into it. probably over $900 if you count replacement of parts that break due to high spring load.

Puma1,
You might keep an eye out on Arnie's and ASF as well as here on MiA for someone selling an already upgraded G3. I usually see a couple of very nicely upgraded (metal body, wood kit, etc) G3s on various forums each year. They aren't a super highly sought after rifle, so they don't crop up frequently. There do seem to be some die-hard G3 lovers out there who take the time to get all the nice upgrades.
The key to buying a rare rifle is to identify exactly what you want, put some cash aside and then jump on the item quickly when it pops up on a forum. You might have to wait a long while for that rare item to appear, but once it does you've got to be prepared!
Now... where did I put my Prime LR-300...?

The classic army g3 is pretty damn sexy. I don't know much about the internals though.
