I see where you're all coming from and I understand. I know fps isn't everything, and I'm trying not to come off that way. And I probably won't end up going to 500fps. I do have a few months to get my options all sorted out and figure out what I truely am looking for. As far as I really know is I do want a P*, I want a SR-25 because I am not looking to own another m4. I probably will fine tune everything in the end to about 380-410fps if anything and semi auto only. I will have my CQB mp7 as my side arm for immediate close engagements. This is all just planning and preparation and I'm open to all comments, criticism and suggestions.

Very true Pagan. To Squirrel, I agree. People who crank up their FPS after the fact are the worst type and give the platform as well as the people who use it responsibly a bad name. I personally have never touched my reg after chronoing simply because I'm not that guy. It's not fun at all to make someone bleed. This is meant to be fun, it should never end in someone bleeding or being hurt. Pagan- With what you said in mind, would you be opposed to a P*'d DMR who was shooting shooting at the aforementioned FPS? I, as well as many others, understand that max FPS in no way means max range. If you can fire out to 100 yards but you're always shooting 20-30 feet wide then what's the point? But with that being said, if a player took the time to squeeze every ounce of accuracy out of his P* at 500FPS would it be a different story to you? Bishop, I don't blame you at all. I bought the engine and installed it into a VFC 416D myself. If you like the look of those externals the KWA SR-12 may not be a terrible way to go. I do hate the mock-supressor that they use on the A&K. The setup that you'll want for that FPS range is this: www.airsoftjunkiez.com/polar-star-fusion-engine-kit-v2-gen-3-m4-m16-new-2013/www.airsoftjunkiez.com/pr15-fusion-engine-slp-air-rig-coil-line-by-airsoft-junkiez/www.airsoftjunkiez.com/ninja-pro-90ci-4500-psi-slp-spa-carbon-fiber-hpa-tank-gray/This will put you within the desired range as the stock nozzle will produce the FPS you are looking for. The tank can be switched for a smaller one. It's all completely dependent on how much you shoot at any given OP.

If someone takes the time and effort to maximize the effectiveness of their replica, I'm fine with it. While I don't agree with the need to have that high of FPS, it's their prerogative.
What bothers me is when someone first gets into a platform ( Bishop no offense towards you, I see this a lot with aegs and newer players as well)and automatically goes for the max range of the limits without even having used the replica first to see what is actually needed.

I do indeed like the 416 and I've owned a jg one before I dismantled it. The only non "DMR" options I would do is a 416 or a M27 IAR both of them I like. I also am a fan of the XM110 that's the other platform I would consider as an alternate option to the SR-25. Most likely I will buy a drop in engine and all the other goodies and put it in another rifle, Im not really into the pre-builds I have seen except the 416 but then again that wouldn't be my first choice.
Edit: @pagan I will be purchasing the base rifle first before I will buy the drop in engine., and use it in its standard aeg form. (No offense taken)

Sorry for double post. But does anyone know if there is a hop up upgrade for this rifle? I haven't found any because its elongated. Also with this rifle varient, would a m4 type rail fit on it like a DD MK12 12" ?
