If, during a game, you were hit in your plate carrier / tactical vest, helmet, or pads, would you be considered out? I was wondering about this for a while, and was not really all that certain.

Given the thread title... The answer is a resounding yes though. Yes, if you get hit in your body or head you are out.

Yes. I'm pretty sure this goes for ANY field or ANY MiA event. I'm 95% it goes for any event. Just assume they count unless you're told otherwise.

Next time we can just shoot you in the face, so there's no uncertainty.

If you get hit anywhere you are out. That includes fingertips, ears, beard, and so on.
Depending on the organizers and events, some gun hits are also considered out.
Just because an item is considered bullet proof or bullet resistant in real life does not mean that it transfers onto an airsoft field. It just creates too big of a mess on who is actually hit and increases the chances of people cheating.

Does anybody remember that game a few years back where three or four kids showed up and played like their vests stopped bbs? God that was frustrating. Was that at Bangor? I feel like it wasn't, but I don't remember where it was.

Everyone was complaining that they were not calling their hits but I think the ref's were initially hesitate to make too big of an issue of it for fear of it getting back to the land owner. It got to the point were it was just ridiculous and they were asked why they were not calling their hits...."because we have body armor".

Wait... you guys call yourselves out when you get hit in your armor? I've been doing this wrong the whole time! It would be fun to do a game where armor actually mattered.

It would be fun to do a game where armor actually mattered. ATS will be hosting a counterinsurgency event later this year which implements East Wind's armor rules: Except without the requirement for actual issue armor, replicas will be allowed as long as they have a pretty solid plate. More on that later though.

Back at SFOD when Corey had his urban friend from work bring her kids to come play with their clear Co2 Uzi's and black tac gear that made them invincible.
