Be careful, there are a lot of off the shelf barrel condoms that will not stand up to repeated bb fire. I have one that has a seam that runs down the middle longitudinally and bbs have broken through the seem. For the record I bought it at Hell's Survivors when we had our first game there (the one with 2ft of snow). The one that I have is this style. You can see the seam that I'm referring to. www.tituspb.com/zencart/images/Barrel%20Capp%20Barrel%20Cover%20Green.JPGHonestly I would like to make one myself, just so that I can make it better than the off the shelf products. I realize this is not acceptable though. I think what I will do is create a steel liner that I can put inside of an off the shelf product so that I meet the requirements and have something that's legitimately safe. If you bought it at Hell Survivors, it may not have been a legit commercial one. They make their own, and I had two of them just fall apart with very little use.

I'm confused. Are you saying they actually injection mold their own barrel condoms? Otherwise, I would assume they pay someone to manufacture the product and to me that is just like every other commercial barrel condom.
I'm nearly certain the picture I linked to is of a barrel condom that comes from the same manufacturer that mine does. They have exactly the same material which looks to be molded the same way. They also have exactly the same bungee cord and plastic stopper. I would guess some place probably makes that style with small variations for paintball fields to sell as their own.

No I was talking about their cloth ones that they were selling. I never saw them sell the plastic one like you linked, only the cloth red and black ones.

Why not just buy a barrel bag?

I was thinking about making one out of a scrap of fire hose. I could make a cool leather one out of armor thickness leather. I do leather making as a small business, so technically it would be professionally made.

I'm not really looking to argue semantics.
Covers made out of socks, duct tape, gloves/mittens, or bandanas aren't allowed.
It's mandated by the field's insurance, therefore we obey those conditions.

Why not just buy a barrel bag? I'm just saying I don't really trust most of these made for paintball, used for airsoft, barrel condoms. To me if I'm forced to use something then I would rather it actually do it's job. I'm sure the field hosts would see it the same way, but to them off the shelf means safe. Therefore my idea was to basically retrofit an off the shelf condom to actually be effective. This way the host perceive it as safe and it actually does something. I will of course continue to do as I always have done and use whatever the field hosts request. So for the time being I will just use an off the shelf barrel condom with no modification and simply not shoot my gun in the safe zone as I have for the last 9 years. This is of course what I recommend for everyone else to do, and I do not condone people creating their own barrel condoms from scratch. TL;DR DON'T LISTEN TO ME AND DON'T PISS OFF OUR HOSTS. BUY A BARREL CONDOM! If there is any question as to whether a particular barrel condom is acceptable it should not be used without consulting the event hosts or the field managers.

Can anyone bring a blood type patch with them to the meet? I'm trying to look for an O Pos patch for my loadout.

Excellent brother! Should be a very nice turnout, and the weather looks like it is going to be decent.

hey if my dad decides to stick around and play think anyone could loan him a gun and mag and maybe some goggles and stuff? I only ask because as you guys know Im new and don't have much of my own stuff (my second Rifle cant even be used at Rec games) and I find him getting more into Airsoft, he's even considering getting his own airsoft gun. So would this be possible or should I just have him wait til I have stuff to loan him?

If he is interested, he can probably find something decent at the swap meet.

June 1st was the end date for on file waivers.
EVERYONE will need to fill out waivers again. So if you are under 18 and don't have a parent coming with you, print it before hand and bring a signed copy with you.Just so everyone reads this. You will have to fill out waivers for this event. Please either bring a signed copy with you or have an adult to sign for under age players. Just got back from the store. They received a case each of .20, .25, and .28 Bio bbs in as well as three cases of green gas. So there will be tons of bbs available.
