REC: MIA Field Day 06/09/2013

An all-day event at Action Paintball (Formerly known as No Limits Park) in Taylor on Sunday, June 9th.

This isn't your normal REC game. We are having an all-day airsoft only field day at the park.

In addition to a normal day of rec games, we are also going to be having a swap meet and new player events going on throughout the day.

The swap meet will be held in the airball field next to the parking lot and will go from noon until whenever people want to stay till.

Attendees of the swap meet will want to bring their own tables, or something to set their products out on, as the picnic tables will be in use for the rec game players.

The new player session will begin at 10:30 am, and run until lunch time. If there is the attendance and want, we can also extend it after lunch as well.

There is no charge to participate in the swap meet, it's just a great opportunity to buy sell and trade gear with a ton of other players.

There will also be a raffle and giveaways thanks to our sponsor Valken sports, the exclusive east coast distributor of G&G airsoft. There will be a Valken tent onsite with products, but I don't have full details yet.

There will be a grill available for use, but it is highly recommend that if you have one, bring it, as there may be a ton of people trying to use the one at the park.

Time: 9:00-6:00 Gates will open at 9:00am.

Cost: $15.00
FPS: MIA standards.
Eye Protection: Full seal goggles are required. NO GOGGLES, NO SHOOTING, NO EXCEPTIONS. Mesh goggles are NOT allowed.
You must sign a waiver. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the waiver as well. Waivers will be provided.

Briefing/ Check in/ Chrono : 9:30 AM
Trigger Time starting at: 10:30AM We are pushing back the start time a little bit to accommodate the expected attendance level.
Break for Lunch: Whenever people feel up for it. Most likely lunch will start at 1:00 as that's the earliest we can get pizza to the field.
Ending: 6:00 PM

There will be no ammo restrictions or player caps as it is a rec game.

Action Paintball (No limits) Rules:
Barrel condoms are required in the safe zone. These are available at most sporting goods stores.
Magazines out and safeties on in the safe zone.
Anyone between 12-14 years old must come with an adult.

Full face masks, balaclavas, lower half mesh face protection or something along those lines are required at no limits for everyone attending due to their new insurance. They are pretty laid back about this but just make an effort especially in the safe zone.
Players 14 and under must wear full face protection/paintball masks at all times.


Things to remember:
Bring bug spray.
Bring a barrel condom.
Bring extra socks (even if it isn't raining).

Cost to play:$15

Tents and Canopies are welcome to be set up in the staging area.
Action Paintball is now going to be stocking airsoft gear, so BBs, green gas and other small items will be made available at the field.
There will be a generator available, so charging stations can be set up.

We are also talking to them about possibly offering burgers/hotdogs if players are not interested in continuing the pizza option.

No Limits will again be offering $1 slices of pizza at lunch time.

The field owners will be asking if people want pizza when you sign in. You won't have to pay right then, it's just to get a head count so they can order enough.

When singing up please note which part of the event you would like to take part in.

If you plan on taking part in the swap meet, you MUST sign up. We need to have a head count on the number of people participating.

We are also asking for any Vets who would like to help out with the new player events to let us know what subjects they would like to cover.

Hey guys, I just talked to Debbie about concessions for June 9th. I currently do concessions now for my war game conventions so I have everything already. We can do hot dogs, nachos, chips and beverages or whatever. All sold at a nominal cost to the event attendees. Debbie thought it would be a great idea and she will talk to Jeremy tomorrow. -- Thanks ! !

I'm going to try and be there for this one. One thing that should be constantly reminded to the newbies throughout the whole game, is to KEEP MOVING AND DO NOT SIT IN ONE SPOT! This is generally one of the biggest mistakes I see new players do.

This was not the case at the last event we had.

Yes, and homemade means anything not purchased. So if you didn't get it from a store, you can't use it.
