I think this is great news. I was a part of the group that ran the event at Hell Survivor last winter and we enjoyed working with you and getting players out on your field. It's a fantastic field and a lot of fun, and I'm glad to see it open more regularly to us. What are you doing as far as running games for now? Do you have anybody on staff who knows airsoft well enough to keep the games from turning into paintball style games the way they have at Futureball? What safety rules are you adopting? If you're open to suggestion, MiA's FPS and MED rules have been adopted by every major field in the state and have been used for nearly a decade. I've quoted them below. These rules tend to be right in the middle compared to what other states and other organizations around the country use. I believe I can speak for the majority of experienced players here in saying that they work very well to both maintain playability while keeping player safety as primary concern. The biggest benefit to you adpoting them is that the majority of players in the state have tuned their guns to be within these FPS ranges. If you were to, for instance, lower the full auto limit to 350 FPS, you'd immediately exclude a huge number of players who have tuned their gun to shoot near 400 FPS. Very few people will crack their guns open to lower the FPS for one game when they'll just have to do it again to boost the FPS back up for every other game they play. Those guys just won't come to your games. By maintaining consistency across the fields in Michigan, you make life much easier on the players and in turn, get a better turn out to your field. miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=r-n-r&action=display&thread=6786

Knief. Did anyone from the Pickney field ever get back with you on adopting MIA rules?

Not me, but I believe Pagan and the Suicide Kings are working with them about adopting full MiA rules and even running events.

This is definitely good news, it is a large area that I think a lot of other airsofters would enjoy, especially if MiA is able to get the big games like Hell Survivors big three games.

Would the field owner be willing to have a large milsim on a different day? I'm sure that would bring in a lot of people.

It would be awesome to set up a big game there its such a large field. For the paintball tournament games we would have somewhere between 2,000 to 3,000 there, and people there from California even Korea one time; I do not think there will be that many for any airsoft game but it would be a nice idea to start.
