Okay thanks Newman. I appreciate it. That is pretty cool how they have the camera angle deal hooked up so you can see all the scenarios huh?

Lets get back to topic!
I have made a few changes to the game, this is what I know: -It will take place in or around Farmington Hills -It will consist of segmented skirmishing instead of one continous scenario -Velocity will work on a trust system (nothing higher than 400 fps/ 140% spring) -It will take place in early January, of course this will be dependant on snow fall -The field will be well-lit so games can carry on into the night -Most of the games will be dominated by me because I am the greatest thing ever
Maybe that last one might not hold up but I'm sure that this day/night of skirmishing will be a lot of fun.
If you guys have anything to say about these new changes, don't hesitate to post.

I'm wondering about the FPS limit. I'm a sniper, and I am getting a rifle, which shoots about 450 FPS. However, it's difficult to be a sniper under this rate limit. Most organizations have specific rules for sniping. One such rule: No sniping from less than 30 yards and no sniper rifle over 500 FPS. These rules vary from organization, some are even based on an honor system. I think the rule should be changed about the FPS limit. Maybe you were just referring to AEG's, but I think the FPS limit should be higher for sniper rifles. Thanks for your consideration, as I would like to play with all of you in the future. Just something to consider, Ed.

If you are using a bolt action rifle, I don't have any problem with your fps. But you might want to run it by the guys who are coming to this event. I wouldn't suggest using a sniper rifle however, since this event will be shorter games (10-20 min). Play with what you want.

Well if we could find a location for the event it would make planning things a LOT easier. This month Janus was meant to open his Airsoft/Paintball field in Battle Creek, but since he doesn't seem to be replying to any of my emails I have no clue as to what the situation is. With his field open we could organize events on a MUCH more regular basis. Untill he does open it or we find another place we'll be stuck for a while with nothing to do but polish our guns. Don't worry though, as soon as hunting season is over and perhaps the weather gets a tad warmer (next year) we'll be skirmishing on our 100 acre lot. Doh I bet someone will get lost.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS! NEW DEVELOPMENTS! NEW DEVELOPMENTS!
This is going to be long but I have a lot of important announcements.
I have nearly finished my planning for "Snow Fox." I have found a great location. I recently played in this forrested area over thanksgiving weekend and I think that it's NICE! I have pictures of this new location, but that are being processed (I can't afford 'fancy' 1-hour photo).
The place is very large, and I'm sure that we will have enough room and seclusion. I even got police support on this one. OH MY GOD! WHAT IS ED TALKING ABOUT! Yes, yes, this is a shocker to most of you, but I accually called the Farmington Hills PD and I asked permission to play on government land, they said it was ok. Soon I will be wearing camo and JT paintball goggles to airsoft games (ha ha ha).
The field (if you want to call it that) is located next to the Haggerty Corridor Commertial Park on Haggerty and 12-mile road in Farmington Hills. We will most likely meet at my house before the event and drive to the field. I'm thinking that because batteries don't last very long in the cold that we will break in the middle, and return to my house for battery charging and a quick warm-up. Since I only live less than 4 miles away from the field this won't take long.
When you ask? Since this game is dependent on snow fall I have set up some tentative dates in december and january: 12-15 (sat.) 12-16 (sun.) 12-29 (sat.) 12-30 (sun.) 1-5 (sat.) 1-6 (sun.)
This will be an awsome event, I know that my entire crew will be here (I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing). Don't hesitate to ask me questions.

Hehe@police support...it sounds like they will be providing free jockstraps. ;D ;D Love the idea, but what's with this two day thingy? It'd be kinda tricky to have my parents drive me an hour away for Airsoft, but two days in a row, that'd be 8 hours of driving (back and forth) for one or both of my parents. I don't want to sound selfish or not wanting to help (jeez I love playing in the snow! ), but what would happen if I couldn't make the Saturday bunker-building bonanza?

It will most likely be one day of playing (a saturday most likely, and sunday as an alternate).
Bunker building will be on the day before playing. You don't have to attend, but you will get some extra goodies.
Newman: if you need a ride I'm sure that I can arrange something for you. Me and my friends pick up and drop off players all the time for airsoft. Where do you live?

Right next door! ;D I live in Saline dude, adjacent to Ann Arbor, ya know, where ya go to school? ;D Playing on Saturdays is a ton easier for ol' Newman, I have church every Sunday (I don't think my dad will be willing to skip Sunday school classes again to take me Airsoftin'). Saturdays work great, and I could help build all that stuff. Are you saying we'd build the snow stuff on a Friday, then? That would work if you gave me a ride, or maybe my parents could take me. Whatever's easier (probably you taking me).

I go to U of M. Since I'm only a freshman, I don't have a car here. I do have one at home however (so do all my friends).
I just got the pictures of the field back, does anyone know how to paste them on the post?

Hey, i can play on Saturdays but not on Sundays(i have to work). The thing is, i don't know when i'm getting my aeg(g3sg1). I'll probably get it within the next month or so. So if any of you have an extra aeg to rent, that'd be great. Ed, where do you live? I'm in Canton, which is about 10 min from Ann Arbor.

Ed: If you want you could send the pictures over to me (email) and I'll upload them to my site and post them for you. Or if you have a site you can upload images to justupload them and click the little picture thingie that looks like a landscape (sorta) when you're replying to a message. (its above the ;D and the smileys) can't wait to see the place.
