Yep. Call of Duty impression. Going to get slammed I bet but whatever. I like how they look, mostly how the black matches the tan so good. And this load out would be good for urban CQB games. There's nothing wrong wearing black BDUs with tan gear, is there?
This is going to be a long term project of mine. My Soviet impression is number one on the list right now (and closest to be done). Right now, this is what I have for this:
-Boots: they might not be black (tan, used in the U.S Army) but close enough, goes together with the other gear and will save me money.
-Goggles: have them.
-Side arm: I have a USP .45 and on the COD page, it says they don't use them. But I doubt I will pull it out of the holster.
-Gloves: Got some black ones, love them. Close enough. IF I can get some for super cheap, then I will pick some up.
Here is some stuff I am not going to get:
-NVG: never played any night games and I doubt I will play in any.
-Radio gear: Yet again, doubt I will be playing with anyone using radios.
For what I know I need:
-Main weapon: either a SCAR or a SAW.
-Armor: need some help on this. Is it just normal U.S body armor but in tan or something else? Would like the groin guard too.
-Helmet: easy to find
-Knee pads: easy and cheap
-Ammo pouches: depends on the weapon.
-BDUs: here is the hard one. What should I use?
-Misc: think I missed anything on this list?

If you're going to anything bigger than a rec game, get comms. Even if you just play Rec games, get comms.

Definately get comms. They are so helpful. And for the NODs, you can just get some replica PVS-15s from ehobby and the like.

It would help if you posted some screen caps of the character you're interested in for those of us who don't play CoD. It's pretty easy to put together a kit list from picture, assuming all of the gear the model in the game actually exists.

I'm pretty sure the upper half was an RRV and a soft shell jacket.

Here's some of the various models used, straight from the CoD wikia. It looks like they all use the same plate carrier, though I'm not sure what brand or model it is supposed to represent. They also seem to be using IBH or MICH 2001 helmets, maybe a "high speed" type, too.

-Boots: Your ACU boots aren't quite correct but should be fine as long as they're comfortable. Maybe consider dying them a darker brown shade, that offers better concealment in our temperate environment. -Goggles: Not sure what you've got. -Side arm: The USP's incorrect, you already know that, -Gloves: The correct ones are shown here. Haven't seen that actual model yet, looks like Oakley SI's. -NVG: I suggest getting the Rhino mount anyway, makes the helmet look more specopsy and they're not expensive. -Radio gear: Lots of people use radios... even some who shouldn't. I highly recommend getting into that. And even a cheap headset goes a long way to making it more useful. -Main weapon: SCAR or ACR are appropriate rifles. The SAW is not, they use larger machine guns. -Armor: It's close to a CIRAS carrier, so that's what I would go with. -Helmet: Looky here. Looks like a delta-protec-type helmet, such as www.speedytoys.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=1196. I originally mistook it for a MICH 2001. -Knee pads: the rivet positions make me think they're Alta's, but any other tan pads should substitute fine. -Ammo pouches: depends on the weapon. -Uniform: Black ACUs are the way to go, a black flightsuit could work as well. -Misc: lots. Chemlights, helmet lights, US flag on the right, D-rings in various places, black balaclava, drop-leg holster, radio on the left shoulder and hydro line over the right.

If you were to get kneepads, get Alta Superflexes. There ere only two kneepads I might choose over them: Arc'Teryx Military Knee Caps or Crye Airflexes.

I can't help you identify gear by looking at it, but I thought I might throw a suggestion out there if you haven't thought of it already. I would go to the museum if you have beat the campaign and get a look at the loadout from whatever angle and distance you need.

Just like impulse76 said, just add little stuff to your kit as well to add to the impression (which goes for all impressions, really). Once you have the basics down, once you do things like that, it really adds zest to it and makes it look a lot better than it originally did.
