I've never internally upgraded an AEG for a sniper platform, I just got the A&K AEG SVD about 2 weeks ago and I noticed it is very inaccurate with its 590mm long, 6.08mm wide barrel and lacks range due to the loss of muzzle velocity. What up grades should I get and where can I find them? It's my first time doing this so I would like to do it right. I'm looking for about 500-540fps (.2g of course) and a range of my old "kelly" which shot far as hell, straight as hell; but that was a completely different gun. Also, there is the other problem that it is fully automatic, single-fire, and safety. First one is the problem (full-auto) and I'd like it gone. So basically... I want to... -upgrade spring to 530fps (roughly) -upgrade barrel to a high precision 590mm long 6.01mm barrel -Permanent Semi-auto and safety function But I know I need to upgrade other things aswell but I'm not too sure as to what...Seeing how this is a relatively new gun to airsoft (The A&K model), I doubt a lot of people know what exactly to do. Hopefully one of you guys could help.

Only advice I would give you would be to first work on compression and accuracy upgrades before upgrading the FPS that high.
I don't know what's proprietary or not internally but personally I would start off by upgrading the cylinder, cylinder head, piston & piston head, in addition to the inner barrel, bucking and nub. Might as well go with an R-hop mod on your inner barrel too.
Might not even have to upgrade the FPS that high after you do that and not have to put the extra stress on your GB and risk breaking it especially with it being new and it having a proprietary GB and other parts.

Thanks man, any of those parts that you specifically recommend for a sniper system like that? Cylinders, pistons, and bucking...I'm already looking at a high precision barrel, so that's covered.
[EDIT]
As in brand names, sorry.

Yep, already did a good while back. Unfortunetly, the only thing I really got from it is what I already had, which was the precision inner barrel I want.
Thanks though man, That Dragunov with real wood that is on page 4 or 5 is just sexy as hell though.

Well reading through the thread, which you should have done, I noticed that Laylax and PSS2 are common brands among well made sniper rifle platforms. Look into those I suppose.

I did, and like I said, I found nothing really useful besides the barrel. The problem is that my SVD is an AEG and even though laylax and other commonly used brands used in spring bolt guns prove to be reliable in those simpler platforms, I personally have had issues in the past with my first AEG's. Especially with a CA G36k I used to own.
Like I said, thanks for helping me out man, I really do appreciate it. It's just I really didn't find anything useful in that thread to me. (And yes, I did read it...please don't assume things.)

Relax dude. I read on the first page of two brands of cylinder and piston parts and you made no mention of them when you replied to my post, which indicated to me that you had not read the link that I posted.
I don't know much about sniper rifles but knew of the thread so I figured I'd help out and link it for you in the case that you had not seen it.
Chill out man.

You seem to have a chip on your shoulder today. I know you got your ass reaming earlier, but you might want to take a step back before you piss everyone here off.

Seriously guys, I honestly don't know what the hell I'm saying to piss you guys off here? I seriously don't! Is it how I'm saying shit, or is everyone just screwing with me?
I'm just typing guys, seriously. What the hell am I doing to piss everyone off? I'm just saying I already looked through it then I get called a liar. I just said to not assume things. I honestly can't be typing in a more calm tone.
I'm just going to forget what happened earlier, even though my buddy Bear at Spyops was saying "'Wth' is with these guys, I hear something worse every week from that site." I honestly can't stress enough that I have no chip on my shoulder when I am talking to you now. Tell me please, what the hell am I saying wrong here on this thread. Seriously, I'm just conversing and you are all getting pissy.
For the love of Christ please tell me what I am saying that is so wrong. I am saying please and thank you and being completely docile...What more can I do?

I'm sorry I didn't I guess, but it wasn't necessary. I thanked you sincerely for helping but I politely asked you to not assume that I didn't read it when you don't know that. I being nothing but polite and sincere on this thread. I honestly think you guys are over reacting. I'm sorry I'm not grovelling at your every word but I'm being as nice as possible. I don't understand what I am doing wrong, I really don't.

Boris,
I've met you in person, you're an alright guy, but you're going about this the wrong way. Arguing and keeping the flame fest going will get none of us anywhere. Chalk it up to everyone having their collective e-periods, and stop beating the dead horse.
Go back to square one and start over, no harm no foul, and this doesn't have to be the normal series of events in one of your threads.
Everybody has a bad day, just let it go.

You're right. I honestly have no clue what I'm doing wrong, but you are right. I'll just delete my threads and posts for now.
And no shit? I thought you would've forgotten about fox-ears. Well good to hear that at least, man.
[EDIT]
Guess I can't delete threads.

Well fuck. I work too quickly... Its okay, I'll just continue then. Thanks man; and seriously, I don't know if I'm just coming off wrong or not when I type. But if I am, just let me know. You know how I speak Pagan, I never talk down to...You're either equals or higher-ups, I never look down on anyone.
