I'm thinking that we should do somthing special little something for over the summer. Since we have a lot of teams together I was thinking about something like a tournament.
think about it:
MiA led by Hadoken SEMTEX led by Viking NATF led by Jackstraw LKA led by no one (utter chaos)
We can find more places to play over the summer where we don't have to drive very far. We could do this every year and crown a champion or something.
What do you think?

Well, MiA is pretty much just a collective group of SEMTEX and the NATF... anyone who isn't in NATF or SEMTEX probly doesn't have an AEG or hasn't attended an event in the past... and when they do attend an MiA event, they're offered membership in one of the teams if they show that they are mature enough to handle Airsoft.

Correction: MIA is a website devoted to bringing Michigan airsoft players together.
SEMTEX is a team, lead by Me AND Hadoken.
Also there is something special happening this summer… OP: Northern Blast (err I dunno if that is considered summer here hehe in AZ we only have two seasons, and winter and summer, winter being one month long)

There are airsofters who are in niether SEMTEX nor NATF and don't have the resources to create their own team. The "MiA Tem" wasn't a team from specifically MiA, but the ones who are from various parts of Michigan and are a part of the website (I didn't have a better name to call them).
I didn't know that Hadoken was in SEMTEX though.
There is a summer game in April but I was interested in setting up something like a leuge over the June/July/August months where each team could play head to head with one another. We could even bring in a few guys from Ohio.
Another reason why I like the "MiA team" idea is that just because an airsofter is on MiA they don't have to pleadge their alliegance to one specific team. They can just play without the hassels of becomming a member or paying dues or anything like that.
I guess none of you like the idea, huh?

Even though this doesnt really involve me, I will give you my opinion anyway. Introducing competition into a game like airsoft is a bad idea because it will: a) increase the likelyhood that someone will cheat AND b) increase the likelyhood that someone will think someone else is cheating (wether they are or aren't). So just go out and play and have fun, no need to worry about who wins or loses, or who is better than who.

I was thinking about that, but it wouldn't be as much as a competition but as like a host for a party. When other groups come to someone elses field, the home team will set it up and make the games more enjoyable.

I dont think that it would become too competetive that cheating would start. I mean, basically everyone knows each other and the way airsoft works is on trust. People have to recognize that, and I think they do. If you suggested adding prizes it would result in cheating, but people dont really have anything to gain from it, and everything to lose.

I have an idea, Ed is on the right track here........
We all need to get something cooking here, I say lets all plan something,.........
We should all get together and have have a massive airsoft tourney this summer. Something that the tri state area has never seen.
Check out our web site in a few days, I and the rest of 762 are going to take the bull by the horns and get something set up and get it planned.
E-mail goblin at meenlock@core.com with ideas and thoughts, he is going to become the team planner for this.
Ideas, Locations Ideas, and such

Me and Luke (head of LKA) have already thought of a summer game that would be a long-time game. We tried to play it last summer and we couldn't find a place big enough. Now with the place we have at haggerty and 12 we decided to have it there. That's why I thought of the "Summer Face Off" idea. We would have a large game (like 40-50 people) in Farmington Hills, then two weeks later we would have another large game (with 40-50 people) in TC. And a few weeks later we would have another game in another location. Instead of having individual segmented games that might conflict with each other, we have games that are only a few weeks apart and rotate fields. "Socialized Airsoft"
Well, to help you out, the LKA outdoor field is pretty big. I'm sure that 50 people could play there and not feel too crowded.
