I was wondering if a OD green plate carrier, with woodland coat and pants go with a tan gun?

Yeah, that will look fine. If you're going for any kind of US military look, you might want to think about tan gear. Nobody really uses OD much anymore, and tan blends in better than you would think in the woods.

I was thinking of going the tan route, my green plate carrier has a broken button on it, happened the first day I got it. I am going to call GI tommrow and see if they can handle it. It's just a broken button but when you pay good money for something it should last.
EDIT: I mean I want to return it and get a tan plate carrier.

I hope you can get it switched, but I wouldn't hold your breath. ASGI's customer service is shoddy, and on those cheaper vests that they sell, shit breaks all the time. If they replaced every Condor/OE Tech/NC Star/etc. vest they sold with a defect, they'd lose money on gear. That's what happens when you buy lower quality stuff though, you're always taking a chance that the zippers or buttons are weak, or that the PALS webbing is crooked or the loops are narrow. It's just a product range with a high rate of defect. If you want to avoid that, you're looking at either real gear or Pantac or FLYYE stuff at a minimum.

Something about Coyote Brown or Tan on top of Woodland just looks awesome to me.

I'm thinking about purchasing some ACU, seems like a popular pattern and personally I like it. I just spent 350 yesterday so no hurry on that ACU but I am getting my new guns next week, and maybe sometime in the near future I will purchase some ACU.
I talked to a guy from airsoft gi and sent him pictures of the broken button. He said he will send that to the sales department and they will deal with it. So I am hoping I can send it in and have them send me a new tan vest.

I would skip ACUs if possible. It's not really effective as a camouflage in any situation except nighttime, which is what it was originally designed for. Even people in the Army, who use the pattern, call it "Awful Camouflage Uniform" or "universally useless." You're better off with your woodland BDUs than with ACUs. If you're looking to upgrade your woodland, though, go with woodland MARPAT.

My suggestion, for a second set, would be to either go with a tan based camo, so you can chose which side to be on, or with Multicam. Multicam is flipped from side to side to even things out a lot of times. Just my opinion.

Well if I can not get a tan plate carrier, would it be better for me to just stay woodland? Or would the tan based camo go with OD green?

I don't think OD PC would look good with tan camo.

OD gear with tan based camo happens often with airsofters. It doesn't look terrible.
