I stay away from metal air nozzles as I have known older ones to mar the bb when loading. I don't know if this has been fixed but I don't see how it would be.

just going off of what i have done on my first major airsoft gun, over time I have bought a new tightbore (madbull 6.03) gotten a new battery, had to get a new air nozzle (my stock one broke), a lower FPS spring (i suggest this for any stock JG, as they tend to overpower their guns a lot), and I bought new 13:1 gears for more ROF (rate of fire). These are all just things for general performance (accept the air nozzle), and have increased the accuracy, and general performance of my JG M4 S-System overall. Hope this helps.

Tight Bore barrels are for increasing FPS, not accuracy or range. Get a 6.08 if you want accuracy and range, then either really do some research and install and R-Hop, or get someone to do it for you, like Ike (Poet and I don't knows it). Quoted for the truth. A QUALITY barrel is a huge factor in accuracy. Then comes diameter. You want the widest bore that you can get without sacrificing barrel quality. A Prometheus 6.03 will obviously shoot better than the stock brass barrel because it is higher quality, but a Prometheus or PDI 6.05 will be an even better choice. If only somebody would start making quality 6.08 or even 6.10mm barrels. The 6.23mm Orga Magnus barrel is an extreme example of how manufacturers are starting to realize that a wider bore will give more accuracy, but hasn't seen much testing yet. It was funny to read Amped Airsoft's review of it and see how shocked they were that a wider bore out-performed their PDI 6.01 barrels. Then again, it is AA, so it's to be expected. Obviously there's a limit to how wide the bore should be, but I'm not sure of anybody whose pushed a barrel wide enough to find that limit. Couple a wide bore barrel with an R-hop and some quality, heavy BBs and you'll be blown away at your gun's accuracy.

I had a gun with one of the 6.23 and I can attest to the fact it was better than my prommy 6.03 which surprised me since I almost didn't buy the gun because of the barrel.

I would like to see the research on this... I have a hard time believing it unless I see conclusive evidence. The only way that will happen is if a manufacturer makes at least 3-4 different bore sizes of the same quality and someone tests all of them.

I agree with X, there really seems to be a lack of side-by-side testing in these waters. I have seen some pretty decent accuracy tests with the Orga Magnus barrel, but who's to say that wasn't because of a really good hop up bucking and nub? Also, I thought the air pocket theory was proven to be a myth and no matter what size bore you have, the BB will still bounce around in the barrel. So unless the BB really does completely avoid hitting the sides of the barrel, a tighter barrel would be better because it would ensure the BB travels side to side less. I'm not so much skeptical, as I would really just like to see some high frame rate videos doing a literal side-by-side set up with the exact same hop-up, bucking, nub, etc.

Actually tighter barrels are better for certain things. Quality is the biggest factor though. A tighter barrel is better at a close range for accuracy, however at a long range it is actually less accurate then say, a 6.05. It's just because of increased friction with the tighter bore.
