Well unfortunately I am forced to wear goggles, what I'm wondering is do they make goggles with prescription lenses or inserts for them??

Yes, most of the big name goggle companies have a model that takes an RX insert. Oakley and ESS are the two that immediately spring to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

Are they terribly expensive?

A bit, yeah. The goggles themselves are probably going to be anywhere from $50 to $100, and then beyond that I have no idea how much the RX inserts cost, or whether or not they're even covered by most vision insurance plans.

It's going to vary from brand to brand and optometrist to optometrist, but I too had the same question as you did coldwave and when I asked my doc about them for snowboarding the lenses were around the $300-$400 range. Not sure if they are covered under insurance or not (guess it would also depend on your carrier and level).

Ouch, another thing I was wondering about was do you know any brands that have a spot for actual lenses from the glasses?

The other thing you could do is buy goggles that allow you to wear glasses inside of them. The Bolle X500s, for instance, are large enough that most glasses that aren't ridiculous 80's glasses should fit in them comfortably.

Contacts? That what I wear now to avoid this issue (even though they do bother my eyes from time to time.) On a side note, as I'm sure you can agree, being blind (figuratively speaking) sucks.

That's another option I'm looking into, and yes it does!

The difference is that the latter model is on the "Army Protective Eyewear List." You can email them and ask for a nosepiece for the prescription carrier if you need one.
ESS and Oakley are both compatible with the same prescription carrier - I might have extra goggle mounts if you want to check those out.
