Hello Again.
I recently bought a Fast Helmet (Ballstic Style, with A-TACS camo) and I was happy to receive a whole bunch of attachments and rail adapters with it. To be exact I got the following:
Comes with 2 picatinny rail adaptors Comes with Surefire style flashlight mount Comes with Camera mount
I want to buy a light and be certain that it will fit. The light mount appears really small and I don't want to make a mistake when buying. It appears to be only about 1/2" in diameter but I can get the details if needed. Unless I'm completely mistaken as to what the mount is for.
On the other hand I'm partial to the z Surefire Helmet Light but they are expensive and mostly out of stock everywhere. Also I would like to make use of the rails since I have them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction so that I can get a light that will fit and be efficient?
Alex

If your helmet has the ARC rails, the surefire helmet light won't fit.

This should help you figure out what will work with the mount. www.ops-core.com/Wing-Loc_Adapter_P17C6.cfmIf you get a helmet light, I would suggest a MPLS from Princeton Tec or wait for the new MPLS Charge to be released.

If you bought one of the clone helmets, the adapters that come with them are utter garbage and you should not put your trust into them hanging onto your light for very long.
Go buy a mount from OpsCore themselves as their mount will hold up better and do it's job holding onto your light. The standard mounts are for a 1' diameter light. 95% of your generic Surefires and such will fall into that category and will fit in the rail mount. (G2, G2 LED, E2D, etc.)

Zander, thank you. Never thought a light would be so much but at least I see what the mounts were for. I do like that MPLS but I guess I can invest in a better gun at these rates.
Timm, I figured as much but wasn't sure. Thanks

Cqbr, oh cool. You replied as I did. That's definitely a good option. The mounts are cheap so that is good.
Apologies for the double post.
