Hey all, name's Aidan and I live in Shelby Twp. That being said, there are not really any out door arenas to play at nearby-ish. There are, however, several indoor places (CQT, Phoenix Tactical, which I have yet to visit, and a few others) I got JG M4 a while back and after diggin around here found that indoor arenas prohibit guns over 350 fps. So, I'm curious on either downgrading my current gun or buying another solely for CQB. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions for my lil issue. I'm more looking for an M4 system over other varieties. Thanks for your help.

I believe that phoenix tactical has techs that can replace your spring so that you are shooting under 350

About how much would that run me, if I were to pursue that course?

You would have to check with them on their pricing.

If you plan on getting more involved in the sport a gun for outdoor and indoor (cqb) would be wise.
Most find it practical and comfortable to use varieties of the same base, such as M4 or AK.
Might be wise to go play at an indoor field, rent a gun and see if you enjoy it before modifying and or buying another gun.

This is true, except that using a sub 350 fps gun outside doesn't really make that much of a difference anyways. Theoretically, one would want to be right at the limit for outdoor play so as to push as much range out of the gun as possible for that fps limit, but honestly the 50 fps doesn't really make as much difference as you might think in terms of range. My m4 shoots less than 350 and has a 10.5 inch barrel and still ranges out to about 200' as it is configured right now.

Phoenix does have an outdoor field as well, it's just not used as much in the winter.
