Will the double column 1911 frame of the para ord. fit in a holster designed for the standard colt 1911? Also, I'm going with the Navy Seal theme so base your selection on that too!
I just know everybody loves polls!

Can't say I could really picture a ParaOrdnance gun being used by a SEAL, but anything is possible. If it's a gun you like, go for it, don't restrict yourself just to fit some preconceived image of a special forces soldier. Really when you think about it, what sets SF guys' gear apart from the average grunt is their ability to use non-standard items. So if you want to look like a SEAL, maybe you're a SEAL who prefers and uses ParaOrdnance pistols. As far as it fitting a typical 1911 style holster, I would think it'd fit. The wide part of the Para double stacker frame won't really be "in" the holster, and the slide and forward portion of the frame are pretty slim. As long as you don't get some custom molded super-tight holster, I think it should fit the average 1911 sized ones.

those are all good choices. I actually voted for the Para-14 as im just a bit of a 1911 fan. However, if u are looking for that generic SEAL look, the MK23 would probably be the best. However, another thing that you have to take into account is the price. The MK23 alone is $200 and then the LAM i believe is over $100, while u can get the Para for around like $180 or sumthing. This may not be a problem for you , but its just another thing to take into account. But goof choices!! ;D

actually I would like the KSC MK23 over the para! But I've been told that it is nothing but trouble... is this true? How is the look, feel, and blowback on the mk23
I've shot the USP and I really like it as well.
