The only thing I've noticed that was a drag about my old JG AUG, was the fact that the stock couldn't hold a very large battery pack. It should be negligible if you plan to use a LiPo, and this may not be to the same effect for CA or TM, but on the JG, don't plan on getting anything larger than an 8.4 in there. The Aug's battery compartment is limited in space due to the location of the GB being located in the back which normally can only hold a small type battery. However you can cut the back plate and make room for larger batteries. You can purchase an AUG type custom battery, and the square nunchuck batteries also fit. So you can fit 9.6V 2k mAh + batteries. I even have one 10.8V 2k mAh custom type battery that can fit inside an Aug. @ Dallas, it's really easy to make an Aug Para version. All you have to do is use a shortened Aug outer barrel. It's literally only an 3 or 4 inches long, and you would also need to use a shorter inner barrel, but that's pretty much what an Aug Para variant is. Usually they used with the A1 (scoped) upper receiver. I had one at one point, but sold it quite a while ago so they do exist. I don't know off of the top of my head where they can be purchased but they are out there.

Sorry, I should have specified. I meant the SMG version of the AUG PARA. Like this: Is there any sort of mag-well converter out there that allows it to use mags like that? Thanks.

There hasn't been any kind of magwell conversion for an AUG that I've ever seen. I looked for an m4 magwell conversion when I had mine, but no such luck.

Another thing to consider with Augs in general because my brother has one are the mags.
The King Arms midcaps, I don't know if its Aug mags in general or what but the magazine tends to fall apart EXTREMELY easy due to how they're designed.

Yeah, that basically it. All that it would need to be a true AUG PARA is the SMG mag well, which seems to not exist yet as far as I can tell. Moving on: Who makes the best AUG mags? Melson drought this up, and I'm glad he did.

Tokyo Mauri makes the best magazines. However they are going to probably run you the most. Around $18-$20 a piece. Piece. I've only had one TM mag misfeed on me and have never had one fall apart on me. CA also makes decent mags, their std mags work just as good. But I had problems with their hi-caps. The last would be King Arms. Their mags are the most affordable. You can get a box of like 4 for around $40. The plate that retains the springs on the bottom of the mags like to pop out which will then screw up your mag. I super glued the base plate to Or you can just use tape. They've fed without any issues in both the TM & CA AUGs I've owned

Whichever way you go, DO NOT! buy a BE AUG! They make a shortened barreled AUG like the one your friend wants, so I thought I should warn you. mine did not last even half a year and I had feeding prolems with the mag, if your friend is only doing backyard skirmishes this might be an acceptable choice. affordable but I do not think you should buy one. here it is here: www.airsplat.com/Images/EL-BE-M8-Steyr.jpgGood Luck!

Dreamer, there's a modify option you can use, rather than making three posts in a row. Thanks.
