Hey MiA,
So I was talking to my dad about that anti-fog spray they make for sun glasses and ski goggles and stuff. I am wondering if anyone knows if it actually works, obviously if it works for ski-goggles it should work for airsoft goggles, I'm just not sure it works for ski goggles.
The problem I face is a really annoying one, I tend to sweat good amount, I don't know why, I don't have to be hot or even really exert myself much, I am just a sweaty person(It may be the side effect of a medication I take, I don't know), so my goggles fog up so bad that they are impossible to see out of, so preventing fog is something that would be important for my safety, due to the fact that its very easy to trip in the woods and bust your teeth out on a fallen tree limb or something, or fall down a ravine and break bones.
Anyone know if that anti fog stuff works? Or if there are any products on the market that will prevent fog, or simply goggles(other than those very expensive ones with the fans, as neat as those are, they're expensive, I'm in college, so I'm broke, heh) that are very fog resistant for a reasonable price?
I already wrap a shemagh around my head so it sort of functions as a sweat band, while also protecting the rest of my face.

I have a bottle of Op Drops that came with my ESS goggles when I bought them. They seem to work pretty good for me, but I'm not a real heavy sweater. Here's a link, and for $6.00, what the hell, might as well give them a shot. www.optactical.com/mcopsdr1oz.html

Here's the stuff that I use and swear by: www.fogtech.com/fogtech.html I too run a little hotter than most people, so fogging is a huge issue for me. This plus my Bolle T800's make for a very low profile, non-fog combo of doom. The stuff is a little expensive, but they offer little boxes of a couple 1-3 time use individual wipes for around $6-7. I'd suggest trying them out for yourself before buying the huge bottle (around $17-but lasts for months of regular use). Watch the video on the page I linked...that's partially what sold me on it. Also, I found better deals for the stuff on eBay, so check that first if you decide to try it out. You will still have to keep up on goggle maintenance and regular cleaning, otherwise this stuff (and pretty much any other solutions) will stop working. There's a good guide posted around here somewhere that lists some quick tips on how to keep your goggles clean and fog free(ish). That plus a good solution should help tremendously.

I had the same problem for years, and couldnt find a single "anti fog" spray that actually worked for me. I went and got some Arena Flakjaks and I dont have any fog issues anymore. Well.. 1 or 2 times outta like 20 games. They are pretty neato!

I too, am a heavy sweater and also use FogTech. You can get the bottle version for around $14 on Amazon. Combined with my Flakjaks that I drilled a couple holes in the vents, I rarely fog.
I've heard virtually no fogging with ESS Advancer V12's. Somewhat pricey if you're on a budget though.

Dreamer, you need to read some of the stickies. A big rule here is no double posting, just use the modify button. Also use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence.

Personally, I use rain-x anti-fog wipes. They're made for use in a car, but they work just fine for me, and they're pretty cheap.

I would not recommend the rain-X wipes as you probably don't want the fumes that those emit anywhere near your eyes.
I had fogging issues until I got revision desert locust fan goggles. They are on the pricey side but considering that most of us spend hundreds if not thousands on our Airsoft guns they are a good investment.

The first step in preventing fogging is purchasing good goggles.
ESS, Bolle and the like tend to have fewer fogging issues than cheaper brands offered at places like Walmart, MC Sports or Dunhams.
I wear ESS goggles and use some McNett Sea-Gold anti-fog gel that I picked up from my local dive shop. It does the trick during the wet, humid months.
Pretty much any good goggle system combined with some sort of anti-fog gel, spray or wipe should be enough to deal with your fogging issues.
