WA is somewhat [and i hesitate to say this] fragile. They cannot be fed green gas/top gas, but then again, KSC and Tm shouldn't be either. Whether you chose to run green gas through it or not is your choice. It won't break down after your first show, but it will decrease your overall life. With your specific gun, the one in your hand, and under the same skirmish conditions, the gun will wear out faster on green gas than on hfc 134a. There's no way to stop it, and it's true for ALL gas guns. It's physics, more force = more wear and tear = breaks down faster. WA guns are meant to be used only with 134a, and they still offer top notch performance. Their gun's offer performance that is on par if not above with every other gun running off of HFC 134a or green gas. They are very gas efficient and utilize it better than any most gbbs. They get more velocity from the same gas than most gbbs. Metal slide and barrel sets are available for most WA guns, same goes for TM guns, KSC guns, and KJW guns. WA uses a "cool touch" material on a few of their guns (you'll have to research which). Try the larger forums ( www.airsoftohio.com www.airsoftplayers.com www.airsoftzone.com ).

I've gotta agree with jdl here. There seems to be this misconception surrounding WA guns for many players, making them think these guns are perfect and will not break or have any faults. This just isn't true. If you abuse and misuse any gun by doing things to it that it wasn't designed for, you're taking risks and asking for trouble. It has been stated in the past, directly by Western Arms themselves, that their guns were designed to be used with only HFC134a gas. In fact, they went so far as to say if they could detect any evidence of use of more powerful gas, they would not service your gun! We don't really have to worry about getting our guns serviced by WA though, since they're in Japan and we're not, but it shows you their official stance on the matter. Since you said you wanted a gun that you can use green gas with, you'll probably have to look to a taiwanese maker such as KJW, who seem to be one of the only brands made to run on green gas. They have recently released several full metal guns, such as their M9 series, as well as metal slide upgraded Glocks. The glocks might be a good choice for you since they are smaller, and come stock with metal slides. Just remember though, just because the parts are metal, doesn't mean they'll last forever. The metal used might be cheap and weak, or there might be manufacturing defects leading to weaknesses. The way that gas guns work is self destructive, so something's going to break sooner or later, no matter what gun you're using. Just remember that and don't expect to get some invincible gun, and you won't end up disappointed.
