I bought a new battery from Evike and got it in the mail. Using the new charger that I also picked up I got the battery to full charge fairly quickly. When I went to use the gun I realized that one of the wires had come undone and I was not able to fix it.
I wonder, now that I have no way of fixing the gun for a few days until I can take it in, how bad is it for the battery not to be discharged? It is a NiMH battery and I've hear in the past that they don't need discharging as they do not retain memory. However I don't want to spoil a brand new battery.
This is my first AEG and batter as I have only had pistols to this point. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Regards
Alex

Don't worry about it, the negative effect of not discharging a battery is negligible over the life span of the battery. Chances are that by the time you notice anything going awry with the battery, you'll have a new/better one a year or so down the road.

Ghast, thank you. I was ready to run out and find something to discharge the battery. HAHA I guess the thing about being new is not knowing so letting panic settle in. I appreciate the response.
