Hey everyone, just wanted to toss up a quick question about FLYYE Gear. Do any of you know if there are any US retailers that carry their stuff? I only ask because I am an impatient person and 3-4 weeks shipping from HK seems like torture to me. If not in the US, any places that ship fairly quick?
Thanks in advance!

Amped Airsoft n PA carries Flyye. They're still fleshing out their new online store, so give them a call and tell them what you need. Generally, they'll have what you're looking for. If not, they can order it for you. The owner's a great guy. Awesome customer service and fast shipping.

I've ordered from Ehobbyasia and received my package in less than a week. Same goes for UNCompany and WGC, though that was years ago so I can't say what their shipping practices are today. To my knowledge, however, most HK sites are more than capable of getting gear to the US in a matter of days, not weeks. Places like Ebaybanned (EBairsoft now?) are more the exception than the rule.
All that said, I'd also be curious to know if somebody has a stateside supplier of FLYYE gear. Sometimes, you just don't want to pay shipping.

But when it's $50 to ship and it still estimates at 3-4 weeks for delivery...I get discouraged. Amped Airsoft n PA carries Flyye. I'm going to be making an order this weekend regardless, but I would love to get my stuff before Winter hits.

Try shootercbgear out of Hong Kong. The prices are great, and they have pretty much every piece of Flyye gear that exists. Shipping really shouldn't be a problem. I just got an order from there in exactly one week using EMS express shipping, which wasn't that pricey either.

I was impressed with the site.

There ya go. Like I said, they are still fleshing out their new website. They've been around for quite a while, but have only recently gotten their web store up and running. email them or give them a call. www.ampedairsoft.com

FLYYE is kind of hit or miss. My friend from Alabama had some and it varied from very useful to obstructive and of dubious quality. Also, if you are skinny or lack the bulk of the average man, it may not fit very well. I have never used it, so I can only give you what info I have from others. Condor gear is pretty balanced, though. I would look into that.

Condor is so much worse than FLYYE, comparing the two is borderline absurd. I'm not saying that FLYYE gets it right every time, but all of the FLYYE gear I've laid hands on has been better put together than the Condor equivalent. Not only is it higher quality, but its more accurate to real gear that it replicates. FLYYE gear isn't exactly indistinguishable from the real stuff, but it's as close as you can get in replica form. Condor gear is often completely incongruous compared to what it replicates.
You should handle more FLYYE gear before you pass on bad information about it.

Also, I am indeed a man, so their stuff should work out perfectly for me. Well as a general update to this....I emailed the owner at Ampedairsoft.com and sure enough, they sell FLYYE gear here in the US. He did say however, that FLYYE takes an unusually long time to ship their products to him, so they are considering dropping them altogether. I told him that there would be plenty of people in this community that would be thrilled to have a well-stocked FLYYE distributor here in the US and that if at all possible to continue ordering from them. Their website doesn't have any gear listed at all yet, but if you ask, he's more than willing to give you a list. Though, I'm sure it would be quicker and easier for you to link what you are looking for from the FLYYE website.

I also deal with flyye, and usually their shipments take two months, I have resorted to just asking what they have in stock and having them ship that to me so I don't have to wait.

That's not my opinion, just what my fiends have said. I am honestly surprised about their comments, seeing that everyone else says it's good. I am going to ask them exactly why they have said such in further detail. [edit] Well, apparently he got it drenched the first time they used it and left that detail out. Typical of him, though. Sorry about the misinformation. Carry on.

What I mean is, repeating what one guy says is probably a bad idea when you're not experienced enough to filter that information through a solid foundational knowledge of the hobby or aren't going to do some independent fact checking. It would be like if somebody asked about a gun, you respond by repeating something you read in an unrelated thread that some guy with 4 posts mentioned in passing. Yeah, there's a chance he's right, but there's a better chance that he's talking out of his ass. That's why when you do research on anything in this hobby, it takes time. You need to find a lot of discussions and reviews of whatever you're looking for, since so many people contributing "knowledge" don't know a damned thing. You need to filter out the noise from the signal to get a better picture of reality.
So I like to see new players posting and asking questions and responding to threads with their personal experience with the understanding that it may be limited. But it kills me to see new players giving out misinformation and bad advice because they heard something somewhere from some guy who mentioned some thing. It's a vicious cycle, you see. Some idiot says something that's completely absurd, and a new player who doesn't know any better repeats it, thus becoming the idiot who said it in the first place. Then some other new player reads what the second guy said and repeats it again and so on. This is why people continue to buy Matrix bbs and crossdraw vests. Some jackass likes them because the 1500 he's shot have only jammed once and he has a great place to keep his CO2 operated pistol.
Give advice when you can, but know when you can't and just let the more experienced members step up to the plate. You do more damage by posting more information than by acknowledging that you don't know and moving on to the next thread.

I'll only put up what I have learned from experience from now on. I didn't mean to cause any harm, so sorry about this debacle, it's totally my fault at this point.
