A good quality barrel (diameter isn't too much of a concern as long as it is a high-quality barrel) will increase your accuracy and effective range. Numerous people have independently noticed that the sweet spot for length is about 455mm, but if your gun is slightly longer/shorter then it isn't too much to worry about. The ammo you use is also important, both quality and weight. Outdoors, .25g is the bare minimum you should be using, even in a stock TM. Shot-to-shot consistency is important, so having perfect compression and airseal also factors into accuracy.
A good hop-up bucking and nub can increase your range, but that is a matter of trial and error to find the best combination for your system. Other than that, you'll need to push your velocity up to increase your range.

Yah thats probably what I'll do Knief, I'll get a TBB (definitely prometheus or systema) maybe a new bucking, but not for a little while. Gotta get the gun for Christmas, ahahahh, then save some money for some upgrades.

My effective range is probably about 50-80ft. That is when my BB's are grouping within an inch or so of each other. I could probably touch out at 150ft but I don't know how accurate it really is at that range. (These are really rough estimates off of the top of my head, but I know the stock barrel on the combat machine is pretty crappy).

I ran with a stock G&G for....6 years? It was one of their old ones and the "proline", so I don't know how they compare, but you shouldn't be disappointed with your gun at all when you get it.
