On the green gas's bottle there's a list of the gases and what temperature they should be used at. One of the ones on there is blue gas which I haven't seen before and it says that its supposed to be used in cold enviroments, and right now that would be preferable.
Are there any down sides to it other then the same as the green gas, like less range?

What type of green gas is this on? I'm guessing it's the foul smelling HFC stuff. I had a can of that once, and there was a little box talking about "blue color" and "red color" for different temps. I took this to mean that there are 2 label colors for HFC gas, Blue and Red, to be used in different temps. The only gas I've ever heard called Blue is the Tokyo Marui cans of HFC134a, since they have a blue label.
Depending on what pistol you're using, you should be able to use regular old green gas during the winter to get your gun shooting near hot temp. performance. The cooler temps. will lower the pressure of the gas, so it's not as hard on your gun as usual.
