So apparently Evike took the time to fire real steel at their airsoft riot shield, after "EXTENSIVE TESTING" the conclusion was it will not stop a handgun (go figure) but apparently stopped a birdshot from a shotgun, which was actually kind of surprising.

The things people get paid to do... It's a riot shield, not a ballistic shield. What did they expect?

Ahh, we had one of those at a Farmington CQB game... Thing worked out great, actually. Used it for extra cover where needed, and really helped when moving two or three guys down an un-covered hall.

I can't figure it out. This new guy pronounces it "e-vick" and I always thought it was "e-vike". Does anyone know how it's supposed to be pronounced?

I have no clue what it is suppose to be pronounced as but I am always going to call it e-vike, the person you are talking to is most likely going to know what you are talking about anyway.

I'll give it a pass for now. In the future it might come in handy though...
