Hello everyone. I just had a quick question about a plate carrier I came across today. The "Armor plate carrier vest," by Voodoo Tactical. *EDIT* This vest is from a the Voodoo Tactical website, which sells parts and equipment for "real steel" weapons. I haven't seen it before so I'm wondering if any of you have. (End edit) www.voodootactical.net/p-198-armor-plate-carrier-vest-with-molle-webbing.aspx Just wondering if this is a good option for Choosing a plate carrier. I was considering another plate carrier. The other option I was considering was a Flyye CIRAS (Land version) with a full set of pouches. shop.ehobbyasia.com/flyye-force-recon-vest-with-pouch-set-ver-land.htmlAny experience with either of them? If so, which is the better buy? Thanks again! ~ LOF

That carrier from Voodoo Tactical looks like one of the ones made by Condor. They say it's their own brand, but part of me is kind of skeptical about that. It may in fact be 1000D, but that's not everything. I've seen awesome pieces of gear made from 700D or even 500D that I'd buy over a cheap piece of gear in 1000D.
Otherwise, Flyye is pretty good quality gear. It and Pantac are pretty close as being the best copies of the real deal out there. Really the only step up from that level is to buy the real Eagle gear. You certainly wouldn't regret the Flyye CIRAS, and it would be much more likely to hold more of its value should you decide to sell it later.

And that right there is one of those high quality 500D pieces of gear I was talking about.
