I have a Lipo battery but all I have got to charge it is a dummy charger. Would this cause the battery to explode or combust?

Short answer, it will at least ruin your battery. You need to have a charger that is designed to charge a lipo in order to charge a lipo. And you had better use a balancing charger or else, yes, you risk damaging your battery to the point where it could explode or catch fire.

A dumb charger will almost surly blow it up. I've seen it happen, and trust me you don't even want to risk it. Do yourself a favor and only charge a lipo with a balancer charger. With such cheap balancer chargers available today it's just not worth the risk.
Not exactly an airsoft sized lipo, but when overcharged they go like this.

No. That charger is meant to charge NiMh and NiCd batteries. You need something designed for lipo batteries and it must have a balancer. If it doesn't specifically say that it charges lipos, it won't work. And if it doesn't specifically say that it has/is a balancer/balancing charger, it won't work.
