I already have a ball cap version of the acu hat. I have most of the uniform like the pants the vest and pants. what kind of patches should I get, where should I get them, and am i missing anything ells.

You will probably get beat if you put any real patches, the US Army tape, or rank on your uniform. And if someone doesn't its a shame. A few of us including myself worked way to damn hard to earn the right to wear those things. Also if you do wear them and someone wanted to really fuck you over they could bring you up on charges of impersonating of a soldier.

Jesus Christ i did not mean to offend but my set up is very barren and it just needs something to kinda make it seam different than someone ells' but if it is that serious then i will not and i apologize for Evan thinking about it but this is why i posted, so someone will not do that to me in the future. but i will be greatly appreciated if you could tell me what i should put on it.

I noticed you have two pairs of boots and pants. Do you have a siamese twin?

If you're looking for patches that you can wear without worrying about bodily harm, look into buying some morale patches. Since they're not official, no one will crawl up your ass about wearing them.
As far as a helmet goes, if you're looking at an Army loadout, get yourself a MICH 2000 replica. Just about any Army-based impression you could do a MICH 2000 would be correct for.

Not only will you get your message across much clearer, but other forum members might actually be able to reply to your post instead of trying to decipher your enigmatic nonsense. Aside from failing to capitalize the letter "I" when you refer to yourself, your post contains so many incorrect word choices that it was clearly typed more by a spell checker than your own brain. If you can't take the time to get it right, don't post. This is your second warning.

First off kuddos to you for wanting to make a uniform, especially since your 14. Chances are you will want to replace it with a real one when your old enough, yes?
So here is how you go about doing it. First name tape, for you use your nickname or your last name. This goes on your right breast pocket. For the army name tape you could use ARMY or just put MILITARY. That one goes on the left breast pocket. For rank, just get a blank ACU rank patch to cover the fuzz. Unit patches, put what ever you want on there or better yet make your own. US flag goes on the right shoulder. Hell put one on the left to but remember the stars are always facing to the front since you move into battle, not away from it. As for boots, any Tan type will work, your going for a re-enactment look, not impersonation. For the helmet just pick up a ACH or MICH replica and then get a helmet cover.
One thing to keep in mind is you want to off set part of the uniform. That way your not wearing a full military uniform. They do it in movies all the time. That's why the Rangers in Blackhawk Down wear DCU with Chocolate chip helmet covers.
On badges such as a Combat Action Badge or Parachutist Badge, just don't wear them. We don't wear them in the field in real life and since your re-enacting you shouldn't wear them either.
Also, if anyone asks, just tell them you play airsoft. I've spent damn near 9 years in the military. I love my country and all but this is just a really cool job that lets me blow shit up and shoot machine guns and someone else foots the bill. Not to mention I get payed pretty well for it. So pay your taxes everyone!

That's why the Rangers in Blackhawk Down wear DCU with Chocolate chip helmet covers. As far as I know, that part of the movie was accurate. The switch from chocolate chip to 3-color had only recently been made, and they just kept the older helmet covers. The only inaccuracy was the names written on the helmet covers. From my understanding, it was done to make it easier for the audience to follow and keep track of the characters in a movie that didn't have just one main character, but a large cast all with a somewhat equal part. Which, in my eyes, surely represents the way our military functions better than following one Rambo-esque soldier as he kills hundreds of baddies on his own. Also, I personally wouldn't wear anything that says "ARMY" or "MILITARY" if I wasn't actually serving. EDIT:

He was naming an example of a trend in Hollywood - if your movie's not DoD approved, you have to fuck up the uniform somehow - Blackhawk Down might not have been the best example, so refer to the A-Team, 28 Months Later, or Hurt Locker.
