I have Digital Woodland (MARPAT) fatigues and I just would like to know what color chest rig or vest is most suitable. Also, would you prefer a chest rig, or vest?

With green base camo, either Coyote Brown or OD would look very right. Even the lighter khaki doesn't look out of place. However, if you ever get a tan set of camo to oppose your greens, an OD vest will look a bit out of place. For that reason, I pretty much always recommend CB or Khaki for a vest (unless you're doing an impression, but if that's the case than mine isn't the advice to take anyway).

I have a Khaki MBSS, and I can't complain. It is light/open so on hot days your not sweating like crazy. Plus it looks well with both desert and woodland MARPT. You can add CB pouches without any drastic color changes too.

Knief and biz are correct. Coyote Brown can go with just about any camo (besides black based camos) and blends in with the Michigan environment pretty well.
As for Khaki that thedeisel suggested, it is lighter than CB in my opinion. At Operation Island Thunder, it kind of stood out compared to people who were wearing OD, and CB.

With woodland a bit, But not the MARPAT's. Your tan vest sticks out more and the black one spray painted tan that you took to the milsim stood out more. With experience with actually having Khaki, it's very nice. Plus it is unique because it isn't easily available.

If you want something light, but still has full cummerbund, you could always do a Crye JPC. I have owned multiple chest rigs, two RRV's, an MBSS, etc., and the JPC was by far the lightest. Ebaybanned has replicas in Coyote Brown and MC. I have one in MC that's for sale. If you're interested, shoot me a PM.
Another rig you can consider is an MBSS. They're the second lightest rig I have ever used (JPC being first), but they do lack a cummerbund, which means less pouches. So you have quite a few options, so really it's up to you.
Edit: Just realized this conversation was not about "what vest should I get" and instead it was about "what color". If you're running MARPAT you should do Coyote Brown. If you want something cheap however, OD and Tan is always a good option. I say it's cheap, because there is plenty of Chinese made rigs in OD and Tan.

My suggestion is that you go for an OD vest. You'll get shot in the back by people in foggy eye protection a whole lot less, when you are on the "green" team using MARPAT.

I have yet to have that problem with MARPAT and my Khaki vests. If you communicate with your team better, you might help alleviate your own issues as well.

I have a RG MBSS that I wear with my MARPAT and Desert MARPATand it really doesn't look bad at all. I really like it because even though you're wearing a light desert color scheme, the RG really helps blend you in better. I really like the RG and desert look, to be honest. Here is a picture of my latest loadout...don't mind my face, it was pretty hot out that day (90 degrees) :

Coyote brown is what the real Marpat wearers go with. I'd go with the DoD on this one.
