I just got my Mich 2000 today, and I'm not quite sure how its supposed to fit. I don't know it it's just me but it looks Sorta wide. maybe it's my hair not too sure. If you guys could post some head shots of you wearing your mich 2000 that would be great. I just need to see what it should look like and then I can more accurately adjust it. Thanks in advance guys!

They do sit kind of wide on your head. If it seems really out of proportion, you may have gotten one that's a bit big. Real MICH's come in 4 sizes. Replicas tend to run somewhere between the medium and large sizes. What might be a better idea would be for you to post a picture wearing the helmet, how you've got your pads configured, etc so we can try and help you adjust it. Or, just bring it to a game and I'm sure there will be lots of people there willing to help adjust it.

I'll try and see if I can find my camera. Thanks for the help guys. So after looking at myself in the mirror and the referencing thror's picture, I have come to the conclusion that I can probably swim in my helmet. Maybe it will look more filled out once I get my comms. imageshack.us/f/195/headshotone.jpg/Sorry about the lighting, I had my 11 year old brother take the picture.

shrikered, give onion bags a try. They're cheap, easy to find, and seem to work quite well. That's what most people use, because they work. Just remember that when you're spraypainting that you have the mesh held down tight. You don't want any paint to get underneath the mesh. Personally I have found the best way to get it held down tight, is with your hands. Sure, you're going to get paint on your hands, but it works.

Otherwise, you can experiment. I've heard of everything from the kind of mesh sold at craft stores to the lining from swim trunks. There's really no wrong way to do it, but I will say that using mesh with somewhat larger holes (up to a point) seems to give a better result than smaller sizes of mesh.

As Paranox recommends, an onion bag works great. However, I'd do it a bit different than he recommended. Just throw the helmet in the bag, and tighten the bag up so it rests flat with the helmet. The pattern won't necessarily be uniform all over, but it will be the easiest way to do it.
