Stay Frosty, please don't bump threads that are not in either the commerce or recruitment sections. The thread will appear new to anybody who hasn't read it. If somebody already has read it and chosen not to respond, then bumping your thread won't help them.

Why would you wear DCU bottoms and DARPAT tops in the same loadout?

I've got to agree with Crapshoot, that will look funny. If you like DCU, just go to any surplus store and buy some used DCU's for about the same price as just the pants or jacket you linked. If you want Desert Marpat, there are still probably cheaper options. I'd also ditch the face mask, it will just make your goggles fog. Unless you're dead set on that chest rig, I'd spend a little more and get something more modular. If you still want lightweight, I'd go with this: www.skdtac.com/Eagle_LE_Active_Shooter_Chest_Rig_p/eag.670.htmIt's a little expensive, but it's high quality and will hold 8 M4 mags easily. It also has MOLLE on each side for the addition of any other pouches you want. Plus if you decide to sell it later on, it will hold its value better than the Condor chest rig you linked to.

I understand the difference between the camos now, , and thanks for the advice on the face mask. Where would one find a Army Surplus store close to metro Detroit? I am still going to get the Condor rig mainly because, I can't drop $80 on a chest rig, and I don't want my parents to pay that, I am going to buy half and ask for half for my birthday. Thanks with all the advice so far (and you also crapshoot)!

Just to let you know, I have that rig, and I love it. So simple and inexpensive.

The closest is probably going to be either Joe's Army Navy Surplus or Harry's Army Surplus. Both are in Dearborn I believe. I'm not on that side of the state so there may be some others, but those were the first two that popped up.

There is also GI Surplus in Wayne, but considering that you live in the "Arctic Circle", that would be a pretty far commute.

Ok thanks. I heard that Joe's Army Navy is over priced. Yeah, it is actually. When I walked in there one day it was pretty darned over-priced. As well as they had some cruddy airsoft guns they were selling.

I agree with Iron Fin. Joes Army Navy has horrible guns, when I was there they had one AEG (If you want to call it that), a Heckler and Koch G36. But, this thread is not about the repicas they have. When I was there, the prices were not that bad. They have a pretty decent selection of fatigues, chest rigs, vests, and even ALICE gear. I went to the Joes on the border of Pontiac and Waterford. So, if the Dearborn Joe's is overpriced, try the one I went to.
