Operation High Value II
After two years of searching for the deposed terrorist only known as “Khelad” , NATO has grown impatient with the lack of results. Coupled to this, the growing unrest in supporting countries, the US is now under the inspection of the world to locate General Ali Hashiid and his supporting staff or be forced to pull out.
However, as of 2300hrs local time, a scout force of Marine 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion has spotted a convoy of high profile targets, possibly Hashiid himself. Satellite information remains sketchy, as it appears the convey remains camouflaged during critical times of surveillance. An internal investigation has been started into the possibility of a spy within the intelligence network.
The current status of US Forces remains stagnant, with a slow, but consistent search of suspected villages. Due to the scattered nature of Iraqi villages, and the close quarters nature of the villages and cities, this has proven difficult and time consuming. Despite General Alexander Armstrong’s objections, the Rules of Engagement (ROE) have again been restricted due to a number of unfortunate incident in recent months. This has increased the number of incidents involving Hashiid’s Militia attempts on Coalition forces.
0600hrs: The convey still remains a mystery. However, the most recent sighting has led intelligence to believe that Hashiid is indeed among them. The convoy’s projected path leads intelligence to also believe this could be a meeting with the terrorist “Khelad” himself.
General Armstrong has dispatched a joint operation of 7th Special Forces Group and the 75th Ranger Regiment 3rd Battalion in an effort to; identify, locate, and capture high profile targets.
