I am looking for a CIRAS replica on ebay and I was wondering how I would tell if a product is a legit CIRAS replica and not just a cheap copy? Will the price be much higher than other products? Also, I have some modern German Flecktarn pouches, will these be able to attach to the CIRAS?

I'm a bit confused by what you are asking. A real CIRAS (not a replica) would be one made by Eagle Industries, and anybody selling one would (hopefully) have the sense to post pictures of the tags. I would assume that the price would be around $500 depending on the condition and whether or not it comes with any pouches. www.skdtac.com/Eagle_CIRAS_Land_Armor_Carrier_p/eag.550.htm?1=1&CartID=0If you are in the market for a replica (not "real") CIRAS, then the two highest quality manufacturers would be Flyye and Pantac. Each company has tags on their products, but if the seller didn't post pictures, you'd just have to take their word for it. Also note that Flyye's logo looks somewhat similar to Eagle Industries. As for your question about the pouches, it sounds like they should attach to any MOLLE platform if they are "modern." Although Flecktarn CIRAS are few and far between, and neither Eagle Industries nor Pantac or Flyye make them.

A CIRAS on ebay can be had for 300 dollars or there abouts. The best way to tell will be a big white, or if older, green/blueish tag on the rear part of the mesh. They will also have an Eagle Industries Green/Black symbol tag towards the bottom, with a tag stating the size hanging off of that. The big rear one can be worn off/down, but typically the Eagle tag will be there and occasionally the size tag may be missing. The pull chord should be a grey color and not something neon. On the MAR CIRAS the velcro for the pull tab should be OD.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wanted info on a good replica CIRAS, not a cheap copy. Anyways, 300 dollars for a plate carrier is a bit expensive. I imagine a Flecktarn CIRAS or something of the sort is going to cost even more? Does anyone on here use Flecktarn gear or knows some decent info about the German molle/combat gear system?

Finding "real" Flecktarn MOLLE gear is hard to find and expensive if you do find it. Finding a "replica" MOLLE platform in Fleck can be hard, but if you look in the right places you can get a deal. Here is a good site to find some information on Flecktarn: www.flecktarn.co.uk/

Thanks, I explored the website and saw lots of items that I could use. I think I might go with this: www.flecktarn.co.uk/fltav1nx.html Looks very legit and is much more within my price range. Also took a look at my modern pouches and found out they are they German equivalent to the ALICE system, so no they will not attach to the MOLLE.

You say German equivalent to the ALICE system meaning there's something like ALICE clips on the back of the pouches? If so, yes they will work with MOLLE. I have an ALICE First-Aid kit on my PC and it fits fine.

Just gonna put this suggestion out there, if you're buying gear, it might not be a bad idea to purchase a solid color rather than in a pattern. It'll save you loads of cash and a huge headache if you ever switch your primary BDU. For example, I bought a crapload of ACU gear, realized that ACU sucks, and switched to multicam. Now, I think flecktarn is awesome, but if you ever need to use a different pattern (i.e. milsim events, differing environments) you're out of luck unless you buy a whole other set of gear.
Just my two cents.

Word on the street is that KSK test ran CIRAS clones for a few months before ditching them.
Most recent pics have them swagged out in Crye kit. Airframe's, CAGE Chassis's, etc.
