Good to know. I just going to continue drooling over that awesome looking piece though. Nice blaster tank. -Dan Thank you, and you to strikeball. I just got done shooting about 500 rounds through it up north, and another 150 through the real steel one. God those mosquitos were horrible!

Not exactly a recent acquisition (it's been in parts for 3 years since I bought it) but I actually got it together today. APS2-SV, Harris Bipod, some junk scope I had lying around. That rifle has been in some very capable hands, hopefully I won't ruin it too much!

[...]hopefully I won't ruin it too much! I'm cursed like that, I tend to break things while attempting to figure out how it all works. I'm too curious for my own good... And that MK18 deserves to be a CQB gun, minus the suppressor.

What, if any, upgrades were put into that APS-2, Talisman?

Yup! Gonna get a used RS handguard, anti-rotation pins, and one of those A+ Studio buckings ASAP for this summer.
Eventually I plan to build a Block II or TROY upper and get the TROY Battle Ax stock kit.
If anyone is interested I could write up a little review later this week once I get out of school.

She's got a Guarder reinforced bolt handle, PSS2 Aero Chamber, and a CA Cylinder Kit. Puts me right at about 500 fps. Stock trigger assembly, so that'll be going on order as soon as I can slide the money past the wife =p

Tank,
Any chance you can get some side by side shots of the KWA to your real HK45? I'm always curious how faithful different companies are in their reproduction.

I didn't know if it was OK to put that in this section, so I put a picture of that in the real steel section. miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=offtopic&thread=22899&post=515589 I can take more pictures of all the angles later and post them as well. Where should I post those pictures? Also, ignore how dirty the RS is in the picture, it just had a bunch of rounds shot through it and was half-ass whiped down. The pictures I'll take later will be of a clean gun. ;D

You can post them in the gallery as long as the airsoft gun is in the shot. Comparing the airsoft version to the real thing is very much airsoft related.

OK so I quickly took some pictures of the RS HK45 and the KWA HK45 this morning. The background isn't the best, but I tried to crop it out as much as possible. In all of the following pictures, if there are two guns in the photo, the RS one is on the left and the KWA is on the right. Safety/Decocker side. The reason the RS sights are differnet is because it has tritium Meprolight sights installed. Slide locked back. The RS oring on the barrel is supposed to be green also, I've actually always wondered why mine was black. Ejection port side. RS front, looks like I need to clean inside the barrel more. ;D KWA Front. RS rear. KWA rear. RS dust cover. KWA dust cover. RS lockout. KWA lockout. RS point of origin. This picture didn't turn out so well, it reads "Heckler & Koch, Inc. Newington NH Made in USA". KWA point of origin. RS warning text. KWA warning text. Bottom of the magazines.
