Yes they are sewn in. Beats buying a Molle platform and all sorts of pouches for it. It surely would have exceeded the $100 price tag. I did spend another $55 on the two pouches on the way, but worth it to get the functionality I need out of it. I wish I could remove the pistol pouches though. They are worthless. Also custom fit some real steel Magpul Ranger Plates for stanags on my GBBR ProWin magazines   |

I don't know why but I actually prefer the way the ranger plates feel on regular AR15 mags over their PMag brethren. Just something about pulling it from a pouch, it feel more secure and solid.
