I'm pretty sure I can go. DonMega54 will also probably go. It all depends on whether or not he can use his car (his sister and him share it) for the day. Or we'll have to get our other friend, (The fella with the benelli shorty at OP:BHD) to drive. Either way, we'll probably be there.
UPDATE: Neither I nor any of my friends can go. Me and our friend with the car have to attend a social event. It's beyond our control, in other words, our Moms are making us go.

Yeah Chewky, you can bring your friend, we don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable, so friends are always welcome even if they don't play. Just make sure that he wears the right protection, as well as you, on or around the field.

My dad called the Farmington Hills Police and they said that if they saw a kid with an airsoftgun under the age of 18 on private property or not they would arrest him. Now I cant go. All my other friends are going and Dan's dad is even going to stay to make things go over smoothley and my dad still wont let me go. Bah! Later.

Then I wouldn't recommend anyone under 18 play in farmington hills. Good move by your father, now you know. Better to know ahead of time, then to find out while you are being placed in the back of a cruiser. Remember, ignorance of the law is not excuse, and it cannot be used as a defense.
This is why we notify the police before our games, better safe than sorry.

Well, i'm still going, I'll just have to take a risk. But since i'm going with Dan, and his dad is staying, doesn't that mean its alright. Since that would be "adult supervision"? whatever.

I do not belive that they will arrest you. They might convinscate I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. gun but I dought they will arrest you.
I have had experince here in canton with the cops and airsoft. It was a half day of school and me,retraw, robo and some other friends of ares wanted to play airsoft so retraw gears up in his camo before we even go to the field, And we went and picked up some buddies and they had pistols and they wernt in no case while robos, retraw and mine where in the trunk. So a elementry crossing guard thaught they were real guns so she called the cops on us and they pulled there guns out on us and told use to get down. After the hole situation was over none of us where in trouble becuase we had the guns in the trunk of the car with orange tips and the kids with the psitols wavin them around well they got there pistols takin away by there parents for actin like idiots all the cops did was call are parents and tell them what happend and when we all got home are parents dident yell at us or nothing. So this incident with the cops taught us a very important lesson not to take stupid friends airsofting and also to have I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. guns in a safe place(like the trunk) So sick i dont think the Farmington Hills police will arrest you if I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. under 18 with a airsoft gun.

"So sick i dont think the Farmington Hills police will arrest you if I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. under 18 with a airsoft gun." For some reason Joker, I am inclined to believe the police over you. Unless you have a law degree or something we don't all know about.

well, nix 3 airsofters off the list, then...i'm not going to show up at the event if there is a chance of siezeure...i don't have any orange on my barrels...and my two friends are still 17. i'm not loosing 600 dollars in guns because Sickpointe's dad decided to notify the police that the event was happening.

I am not a lawyer either, nor do I play one on TV............ - Do you have the landowner's permission to play there? In writing?
- If so, then perhaps a follow-up call to the Farmington Hills police is in order. On what basis will they arrest you and/or confiscate your guns? Ask them to cite the EXACT section of the penal code, or have them provide it for reference (fax maybe). Remember, taxpayers pay their salaries and essentially work for us - "serve & protect". They should take the time to educate you on the law so you are not ignorant of it.
- Get some orange on those barrels gang.

JackStraw has the right idea. You should have these things cleared up with the local authorities beforehand, at EVERY event. I don't blame Sickpointe's dad at all. I think he did the right thing. I know I wouldn't let any of my children participate in something unless I knew it was 100% legal.
Playing airsoft isn't worth getting killed over. How many times have you heard of a cop shooting someone because they *thought* someone was reaching for a gun.
Imagine this scenario, someone see's a some guys wearing camo and holding assault rifles, so they call the police. The police comes by to investigate while everyone is out in the field playing. This officer see's someone one sneaking though the brush, with an assault rifle, pointing it at someone else off in the distance.
What will this officer do? If you are lucky, draw on you and demand you throw down your weapon. If you are unlucky? I don't think I need to say. This officer must make a split second decision if someone else's life is in immediate danger.
Remember, when a cop is called to investigate a crime, they usually have very little info available to them. A bunch of guys playing a wargame is probably one of the last things they would think of if they get a call concerning someone with an assault rifle.
I know you guys probably think I am a wet blanket, but my advice is from the heart. You can take it for what it's worth. Advice.
