I've been debating on using an old paintball mask of mine. My only problem is it is blue. Is there any sort of paint that is recommended to use to paint the mask itself black, without having to breathe spraypaint fumes all day? Or is that my only option?

I can't tell you much about fumes, but Krylong Fusion is great for using on plastics. It's made to bond better with plastic than most other spray paints. I believe VOC-free paint is supposed to be better for inhalation issues, but that's not an area where I'm much of an expert.

The fumes you actually need to worry about are the ones pressurizing the paint. Once the paint dries, you're all good. Just don't use Valspar or something with lead in it. Use Krylon, all the way, all the time.

Ah I see. I went ahead and grabbed the Krylon Fusion OD rattle can. So I should be good to go. I've put 3-4 coats on my mask and its coating well, along with having a good, flat finish. Thanks, Knief and Fugazi
