You should probably just go over all of the KWA and "made in Taiwan" trademarks. They're nothing like what you'd see on a real gun, so keeping them doesn't add anything to the look. And the big black blotches look really off.

^ Agreed. Paint over all the trademarks, and add some brown. Also, I think you could do away with the "Carnage" but that's just my opinion.

I agree with getting rid of the trademarks, but the CARNAGE is sexy. Keep it, it'll make the gun look better (to me at least) and give you some personal attachment. It's a good feeling to have your gun be /YOUR/ gun.

Cover up all the trademarks and the "CARNAGE", add some brown, and add some wear. Also why wouldn't you paint the dust cover and the forward assist?

I agree with the others needs more work. Also why not paint the KWA trades? Looks unfinished to me.

I actually kind of like the unpainted dust cover. Looks to me like you sealed up the gun and hit it with a couple coats of paint and called it a day. I can imagine GI Joe (not that GI Joe, Joe six-pack in the Army GI Joe) doing that and being satisfied.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Keep it the way you like. But it could be darker.

Do wear over the parts with the trades, and the high-traffic areas. That would include the trigger, fire selector, grip, both sights, dust cover, shell deflector, buffer tube, and stock. The wear over the trades would make it look less "obvious" that you wanted them to show. The others are right though, dust it with brown first. Nothing is just tan with no shadow. Brown helps emulate shadowing, which will break up the outline of your rifle even more.

You should definitely put some brown on there, and cover the trades. Maybe redo the "CARNAGE" part in brown?
Disregarding the paint, the gun looks nice and clean.

Thanks for all the feedback! I will definitely paint over the trades. As for the CARNAGE, I'm definitely keeping it (but I don't know about the color) because since I'm a right handed shooter, the CARNAGE will be seen. And if no one knows my name (or forgets it) they'll know what to call me. As for the overall color, I used Krylon Khaki which many people have recommended. Oh, and I painted it Saturday (May 7, 2011) so that's why there's not a lot of wear on it. Also, where do you guys think I should put some brown? (I also didn't expect this many posts so soon.

Just lightly dust the whole thing with brown.

Just lightly dust the whole thing with brown. Or spray through a burlap sack from about 4 inches away with a really heavy spray-stroke. It'll make a cool spatterish kind of effect.
