My friend wants to know if the Echo 1 ASC (MK16) is good or not, I personally suggest an M4 for obvious reasons but...
Tell me what you know, please.

No, tell him to get a G&G M4 Combat Machine. For one, Echo1 sucks when put against a G&G. Two, SCARs have nothing but problems. They're hard to take apart, they have very unorthodox wiring, some mags don't work right, and they're uncustomizable. On top of that, they're very hard to do an accurate loadout with. An M4, particularly G&G, has none of these problems.

G&G's are pretty reliable, and the 2 Combat Machines I owned were great, you can just throw a metal body on them for $70-120 down the road and have yourself a great gun.

1 - Please use specific thread topics. The topic of your thread should let the reader know what the thread is about. Mods have full authority to re-title threads, but we would rather you took care of this yourself. "Quick Question" is not a useful thread topic. "Echo 1 ASC (MK16) opinions" would be a lot more useful.

Thank you Fugazi and JuiceBox. I'll be happy to note that he is going to cancel the order because of all the advice about other companies and how much more you can do with an M4. As for a G&G CM, he doesn't like the fact that they don't come with a working bolt and dust cover (except the EBB versions) for reasons I don't know but, thanks for the advice.
And the thread title has been changed Zorak.

The G&G Combat Machine is not the "be all end all" AEG, though it is excellent for the price. I like scars, but I have heard horror stories of the stock E1 mechbox shattering due to it's insanely high fps spring. Your friend is definitely better off getting something else though, but keep in mind that G&G makes other awesome replicas like their MP5 (with functioning bolt)!
Just a thought. It would be worth it to invest in a G&G scar though. Those are nice.

But my friend decided to get an M4 mainly because my whole team uses them so we have a universal mag and attachment system (we can use each others mags if one of us runs out and swap attachments).

Thats good thinking. Having a friend who shares the same mags is a life saver on the field.

Thank you. We are trying to go all M4/M16 for that reason and there's so much that you can do with an M4/M16 compared to other guns.
