It is with a heavy trigger finger that I provide you this information. A combination of factors have converged that make this operation a "no-go". If there was any way to make this event happen, I'd do it, but there isn't.
It wasn't for lack of effort.....some things cannot be overcome. As I type this it is spitting snowflakes, and it looks like we're going to continue to get snow off & on over the next 2 weeks. The sites we picked out for the skirmish are still snowcovered, and one is at least 1/2 lowland, which would be swamp if we were to play there. The other site has similar limitations, and also cannot be used on Sat. The planning staff is down to me & Spectre.......and we can't do it all. It is also my understanding that some of the downstate folks have lost their primary transport & driver. Essentially, wet site, loss or organizers and loss of key player transport have put ONB to rest. Sorry gang.......
There, the bad news is out of the way. Now here's the good news. THE RAFFLE IS ON TRACK AND WILL BE HAPPENING AND THE PRIZES ARE SHIPPING! I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. check the raffle post for details. Those of you who paid an addl. $5 for ONB registration will be provided 2 (TWO) addl. raffle tix (check your email, notices with addl. raffle numbers will go out today 3/24/02). I will hold onto the ONB Door Prizes for the first MIA skirmish I can attend and they will be awarded there.
I will keep eveyone on the forum advised of the when & how's of awarding the raffle and door prizes. What's important to me, is that the prizes get awarded ASAP and in a manner that everyone is comfortable with.
