Hi all. I have lurked for the last several days reading every newbie thread and getting used to the forums before making my first post. I really like the community here and the grammar rules are unlike any other forum I have ever seen (in a good way). Now on to the meat and potatoes of my post.
I have never played an airsoft game before but I know I am going to love it - both outdoor MilSim and CQB. I have a whole load of gear coming in the mail right now and I am giddy with excitement. My first game will probably be mid-May and I want to have everything ready by then so here is a list of everything I have so far. Please tell me if there is anything I am missing/overlooked. A good example would be a gun case. I almost forgot to get one and I know I can't transport without it.
Already purchased: Gun - G&G Combat Machine m4a1 Sight with mount .2 BBs 8 mid cap Mags Battery/ smart charger BDU woodland pants/shirt MOLLE hydration vest Dump pouch Ammo pouches ESS goggles Shemagh Boots Gloves Mesh wire lower-face and ear mask. Pistol Sig Sauer P226 GBB with 2 mags Drop Leg Holster Radio with PTT Earbud Gun case 3 point sling
Things still to buy: Flashlight Red kill rag Whistle
Thanks for taking the time to read through my list. I appreciate it.

You should probably pick up some .25's or .28's. Unless you're shooting 280 or 300fps, those .20's are going to fly everwhere.

For starters, welcome to MiA. Everything you have listed is good. As for the things to buy, get a radio/walkie talkie, a flashlight for CQB games and clearing dark places in Milsim, a gun bag most definitely for transportation (a gun bag is good for concealing your gun to the public so that people and cops won't get suspicious) and a pistol is good as a sidearm (obviously) to use at Milsim events.

Like Dahm said. Get some heavier bb's, just in case those .2s arenit to your liking.

I would honestly suggest something more for protection on the lower portion of your face like Evikes Matrix Iron Mask, a shemagh isn't bad but my first outing I took a shot to my tooth and lost about half of it. That however is my own tragedy, I just rather not see the same happen to someone else new to the sport. Also a hat wouldn't be a bad idea, I know it seems trivial but take shots to the top of your head or forehead does hurt really bad. As for the gun case, it's very good to have but if you find yourself without before your first outing just place your weapon in the original box for transportation. You didn't list a battery or charger but I'm assuming your package came with it? If it's a dumb charger, I'd suggest picking up a smart charger from All-Battery or the like for about 20-ish dollars. Edit: This is the mask I use, www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=33668. It's nice because it covers the ears as well. If that's not to your liking they have a more "half version" www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=33216.

Good advice xVertigo. I actually have almost that exact same mask coming (mostly for the tooth/ear cover) from china because I couldn't find any US store that carried them. I just forgot to add it to my list.

I've found that the Matrix Iron Face Mask doesn't mesh correctly with my goggles (I have Arena Flakjacks though, not sure if that makes a difference). I found some mesh mask on ehobbyasia that just barely fits... I can look for the link if you want, but it looks like you have something already.
I think I'd recommend having more than one battery, just in case. Not sure it's a necessity, but better safe than sorry.

You sir are ready to play. One thing I would HIGHLY recommended are extra socks and some sort of means to safely transport your belongings, especially your airsoft gun. E.G, a hard or soft gun case with extra pouches for mags and bb's.
Great first post by the way! I'll think you will get along well here.

Another thing you might want to pick up is a set of tan bdu's. From what I'ce heard from a few members you should always have a set of whatever color you arent planning on using in your car. Then if you want to change sides you have everything right there. I really like the desert marpat or dcu.
Some events get really stacked with kids and noobs on the green side so you may have a better time in tan cammies:)

I always recommend a barrel condom, either one made for airsoft or just a generic paintball one.
Few places require that you have one, but it's never a bad idea to add a further level of protection (on top of being "mag out" and "safed") in the safe zone.

You'll definately want that kill rag before your first game. Trust me, you and everyone else will appretiate it. But otherwise, it seems like you have a good grasp at what you need.

powerbars/snacks and a spare battery. You'll be amazed by how both you and your aeg are plowing through energy after a few rounds : ) Speedloader for your gas gun magazines if you don't already have it (it wasnt listed on your loadout, but it's more of a misc. item anyway)

You have more stuff than most people I know. A spare battery, and barrel condom are some things that are often overlooked. Oh, if you have a dropleg, make sure you have a riggers belt, one of the really thick ones that won't let it sag. Get a tomahawk too, to be safe.
