Hello all, I had a quick question, what are the advantages and disadvantages to a black gun vs. a tan gun in Michigan woods?

None. Just about all rifles are small enough that as long as their color isn't fluorescent, it's not going to give you away. People who paint their guns do it for one of two reasons. Either because it looks cool, or they think it looks cool but it's actually just fuck ugly.

Thanks for the quick reply Knief, I'm looking to buy a Combat Machine M4 to start going to actual events, and my preferred dealer (Airsoft GI), currently only has tan M4s with the polymer RIS, so I just wanted to know the difference.

It's all about looks. If you like the looks of the tan rifle, then get it. If you prefer a black rifle, maybe find it in stock somewhere else. We've got a lot of links to a lot of different retailers all over the place on this board. Somebody is sure to have your model in stock in black.

Another quick question Knief, would a CQB variant with a short barrel adversely effect my accuracy on a field? Just wondering because the closest location from where I live to play is No Limits, where you guys host games, and I would like to get out their when I get my loadout finished.

Not by enough to make a difference, buy the CQBR. If you feel like you wan't more accuracy and range, upgrade your inner barrel and hopup.
