alright, so far I own 4 airsoft guns. A CYMA CM028A RIS AK47. 2 AGM MK96, one was given to me, and a DE shotgun from an ASGI mystery box. I know that these are all beginner guns, and I'm looking to get something better.
The two guns I am looking at now, that are in my price range, is and Echo 1 MP5 from Evike for $120, and a Combat Machine M4 from ASGI for $155. The MP5 can come with 2 extra mags for $5 extra, but the M4 comes with a better battery.
I really like both of the gun types, but i just cant come to a decision and am looking for some guidance.

Sell everything you have now, and buy a Combat Machine with extra magazines. If you have any money left over, put it toward a plate carrier, and pouches to fill it up.

Fugazi is right. The G&G Combat Machine is so much better than the Echo1, they're not even in the same ballpark. You know all those extra bits that they throw in with the Echo1? They do that because it makes people think they're getting a better deal even though the gun isn't as good, so they'll buy the worse gun anyway. And in fact, if you can get the G&G for cheaper without whatever battery they're including, do it. Then buy your own better battery and charger.

Or say "screw it" and get a KWA!
Anyways, Knief and Fugazi are right. G&G is made in Taiwan. And if you don't already know about Taiwanese made guns, they are the best made guns on the market besides Systema. G&G and KWA are made in Taiwan and I here nothing but good reviews on both. If you want the best affordable sport-line gun, get G&G and if you want a great pro-line gun, get KWA.

G&G probably rules the market right now for full metal pro-line M4 replicas as well. G&P will also probably outperform KWA. I'm just saying, don't just instill in this new players mind that KWA is better. That's only your opinion.

While what Dahm says is true, the metal bodies on G&Gs isn't as nice as some people might think. I've had a few, and they've all cracked worse than any plastic AEG I've owned. They're somewhat brittle. You're better off buying a Combat Machine, a G&P metal body, and a Prometheus tightbore. Then you will have spent about the same amount of money, but still have a full metal, MORE accurate rifle. Not to mention, G&P bodies are more "metallic" than G&Gs. In other words, not pot-metal.

Don't forget to buy from airsoftgi and use their "holy cow" coupon to get 2 extra free mags with it.

Don't forget to buy from airsoftgi and use their "holy cow" coupon to get 2 extra free mags with it. The "holy cow" deal only applies to Evike. But Airsoft GI does give you 10% off with coupon code "hot" no matter how big or small your order is. As for KWA, I've had no problems with them so far. But if you want a sportline, get a G&G. Or if you want a proline, KWA is a good choice but there are others such as Classic Army, G&P, G&G, etc.

Of course, internally a G&G will outlast just about anything other than a stock TM. If G&G's external metal quality was on par with KWA though, I'd be a very happy man, and buy nothing else. Hell, I still buy just about nothing else. G&G's plastic bodies are technically stronger than their metal ones, due to overall build and shock resistance. So don't pay extra for a heavier, weaker body, in other words. I guess I was talking about internal performance, not the metal longevity, but yeah you're right too.

I see a pointless necro-post (or almost) there.

Getsum, Carnage is right. Your post is beyond our two week cut off for posting in a dead thread. But even more importantly, your comment doesn't add anything to the discussion. Without any context or support, your claim doesn't hold any merit. It would be far more helpful to the OP if you explained why you like G&G so that the OP can evaluate its pros and cons with regard to what qualities he values in a gun. Just saying the brand, on the other hand, offers no information for the OP to evaluate, so it can't offer any real help. And helping each other, after all, is why we post in these threads to begin with. Please think about that before you reply to another one so that what you say may be more helpful to whomever needs the guidance.
