Pantac is good enough to use for Real Steel shit. So if you get that, you're set on gear for awhile. I have Pantac stuff on my Eagle Industries rig.

Ok, that's a nice vest, thank you for showing me that, it's even got MOLLE on the back for a hydration bladder, I think I've found my first vest. Thanks again Carnage and Fugazi.

No problem. If you need help when it comes to eye protection, camo, gear, guns, etc, let us know.

Before you buy that vest Carnage linked to, read my first post here: miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=newb&action=display&thread=37833Everything I said (except for the bit about the holster, obviously) applies here. You really want to go with a MOLLE vest if you can afford it. I give a bunch of links in that thread to some quality vests at a lower price than the FLYYE CIRAS. I'd check those out, or even an equivalent Condor model before I got the vest above. I currently own a vest similar to what Carnage linked to (made by Blackhawk) and it rarely ever sees use. I use my MOLLE vests far more often because they're just miles more versatile.

I totally agree with you Knief about the MOLLE vests. And what hylander27 mentioned, Weapon Blender is a great place to buy gear at whole sale prices. In fact, they sell a CIRAS type vest for $100 with pouches and an APC (similar to CIRAS) for $75 with pouches.

However, if you don't need max real estate, and want to be mobile, a CIRAS (Combat Integrated Releasable Armor System [just so you know in the future]) is probably not the thing for you. I still vote for an MBSS because it's enough room for essentials, and if you ever decide you want more space, buy a cumberbund. Better than a whole new vest, right? Actually, knowing what kind of primary and secondary you have could help us help you. If you have an AK or something with larger mags, an MBSS might not be enough. If you have any standard AR variant, it'll do you just fine.

Knief makes many good points. I understand budgets and wanting something fast, cheap and efficient. But you have to consider life going forward. Molle is the way of our military for a reason. Its customizable for all different scenarios. Although that vest linked by Carnage, is nice its not the best option.
Definitely follow Knief's link before choosing. Eventually you will want more and so its best to just start with a good carrier that will let you expand with time.

Yes, go with MOLLE because you can buy multiple pouches to suit your needs for different missions/events.

Fugazi, I use an M4 so no worry about magazine size there, haven't bought a sidearm yet, I'd rather wait and buy a quality gas blowback instead of a cheap plastic springer, and after reading Knief's thread I think I'm going to use this approach with my PC too.

Good, you're on the right path. You should have no trouble finding all the pouches you need after buying your plate carrier. And with an M4, an MBSS should be enough real estate to get you on track.

That's a good choice, it's VERY similar to an MBSS, which I can't recommend enough. Go with it, and never look back.
