This was my FIRST offical Airsoft 'battle' and I had a BLAST! Though I don't consider it a full 'battle' because I was playing with just a large party. I was asking around who was on the forums, and then HE came.
Like a god on a golden chariot, TheEnd descended upon the field and began working on his Excalibur, or something like that. He, with is shimmering tactical gear, put me into such humility that I had to ask who was this nameless master of war. It was the greatest day of my life...
Heh, I am probably freaking you out now, aren't I End?
Any way, I had a good time, went with my friend Joe, and he had a good time too. Nice people all around, including the guy behind the counter who would help me in my greatest time of need, by providing tape and a speed loader when needed.
Though at the moment, I was OK with the free FPS limit, so I could use my XM8 (Which everyone was like 'Awesome' to!) which shot about 370 fps(which is annoying me to no end)... Until I got shot... I have been shot many times in the game, But once or twice, it stung for about 5 minutes. Then again, I haven't airsof'd in a while, it being winter and all.
I met some really cool people before I left too, the actual game starting just as I left, which SOMEONE did not tell me! Most importantly, besides TheEnd, I met these guys I met at Youmacon! I wish I could say more, but I don't want to give away the magnitude of my nerdyness!
All in all, adding up the highlights
Played airsoft
Got hit by WAY above 350 FPS
Met really nice people
Met TheEnd
Played many fun and interesting games
I would easily go back next week.
I give Eastside airsoft 9/10.
