Honestly, I'd go with a chicom rig and wear something like this www.lapolicegear.com/5tave.html over it and keep it unbuttoned so you can get to your mags that are on the chicom. Then maybe just wear a SPEAR fleece or a button up under all that and some khakis. A hat and some nylon belt gear and you're basically set.

Thanks for the advice. My last question is about droplegs. I would like to use one but I almost feel like it would kill the look, but it would add some much needed storage that I could reach fast. Should I use them?

Wouldn't really fit the look you're going for, in my opinion.

I think I said earlier, but try to find a 4-cell Chicom if you can. The technical name for it is a Type 81 chest rig. The 3-cell is a Type 56.
Then, take the rig, boil it in water, then shove two mags down into each cell and leave it like that. You'll stretch it out so you'll be able to carry 8 mags instead of just 4. Trust me, you'll be glad you did, and 8 AK midcaps should be more than enough ammo for most games.

Thanks, I think you told me that earlier. Must have skipped over it.

Protip: A good CIA loadout is one that blends in to the local population. Instead of attempting to find pics of SAD guys doing work, try looking at Northern Alliance, Mooj or civvie pics of Afghanis instead (assuming that's the environment you're going for). Albeit there are some exceptions, certainly not ALL CIA operations involve intermingling with the locals, or wearing traditional garb, but it's generally same to start a loadout like this from there. EDIT: Take a look at these for some inspiration. Not CIA, but it gives you a good idea of what the SBS (Yes, despite what the narrator says) were using to blend into the NA and Civvies at Qala-i-Janghi. This could easily be applied to other loadouts too. Another one, the guys in civvies looking cool are brits, save for the white guy in the gray man dress. From what I've read and been told he's SAD, the dudes in the DCU's with the ELCS are SF. 10th Mtn. was at Qala-i-Janghi as well, but they weren't issued ELCS, so if you see any guys with grunt kit that should be them. Also, funfact: SEALs actually used Levi 501's during riverine operations in Vietnam, they were quite a bit slower to degrade in the water as opposed to the issue cotton trousers. I'm sure SOG and anyone else doing similar types of operations may have adopted that as well.

Thanks for the vids gbiscuit. I dont think I'll be able to pull off the "I'm a bad ass with my mg in one hand and ammo box in another" look. I will try to get this thing going as soon as I can, but because I dont care for winter play, I think I've got some time.

Thanks for that first link, some really cool shots on that site.
The anglo in the pic looks to be the photographer, on the "About" page it's captioned "In the beginning, 1987 Afghan/Pakistan border."

Just a suggestion but if you want to try and go for the "I just popped out the truck to kill you" look, a simple bandoleer type of rig will work. I'm not sure how much gear you're needing to carry, but something like that could get you 6 mags and additional small stuff. And if you need a dump pouch, the Ten Speed Dump pouch (don't have the exact name or a link) would work well mounted on your belt and wouldn't be too noticeable until it's deployed.
Don't see it done too much, but it can be a pretty cool look when thrown together with the type of clothing that's been mentioned.

Hehe, that is what I'm going to start telling people. My loadout is a CIA loud out! I have boxes full of gear, Coyote Tan, OD Green, Multicam, Black etc. I never really use ANY of it. My favorite load out is tan Converse Tactical or Condor Stryker desert boots (have both), a pair of blue Levi 550 blue jeans with a brown double row jean belt, a black polo shirt or a black hoodie (depending the time of year and temperature outside) and then normally a Coyote Tan or MC chest rig. Kinda sorta like this but even more simple:

How is that a CIA loadout?
