I've recently started working on my own Early Delta/Black Hawk Down loadout. First I was wondering if there was some large ALICE pouch that I could use as a dump pouch that would be impression accurate? Also would an M12 holster fit an M1911? Secondly I found that this site was useful when choosing a weapon.

Thanks Biscuit. All I still need for a basic loadout is PT Armor (I'm going with the replica one from Evike, the good one, not the one with grenade loops on it.) and the Rifle (I'm narrowed down to either the TM M733 or the CA Vietnam M4 carbine whose name I cannot remember right now. My last question is which type of magazine pouches I should get for 1911 single stack mags?
I think you can get away with belt-mounted pistol magazine pouches, or using the blackhawk low-profile chest rig which I use and has two mag pouches. I have the replica from Evike and it seems pretty spot on.

It doesn't matter anyways TAM, because the XM177 was still in rare use around then. They were still the main squeeze in the 80s and this is an early 90s loadout, so yeah a few would still be around. Just like you still see the rare M16A2 these days or the Air Force PJs in the early 2000s who still had the fixed-carry handle m4s.

Eh, well a tri-color isn't out of the question. It would just be hard for someone to get, as that was right around the time the Army realized that California deserts are way different then middle-eastern deserts, so six-color was on its way out during that time. So it is plausible for a Delta to have gotten his hands on a tri-color hat. However, the thing you see the most that really identifies it as an early 90s loadout is that helmet or for a Ranger that 6-color top.

Well I was intending to spend $290 on an M733 and batteries but instead found and ordered a fixed carry handle upper for my PTW (14.5 inch barrel) for $120 I have a little extra cash in my budget. I will almost certainly be picking up a Protec Classic Skate helmet now. I've ordered my PT armor and all thats left for the loadout is getting a Lipo for my PTW stock tube so I can use a ladder stock instead of the Crane one.
