This was my first time here and probably my last time as well. The guys were very friendly and I experienced no attitude problems or excessive bonus ball hits.( Well no more than the usual extra shots one might expect! I have nothing else to say.) I just did not enjoy the terrain. The only entrance was a steep narrow path with over hang that completely inhibited your vision. This usual wouldn't be a big issue, except that the opposing team camped right at it with in 10 feet and there was absolutely no way to access it and actually put up any kind of offensive or take any cover whatsoever. So this left you getting yourself peppered with shots from the waistdown before you even entered the field. The other team was even shooting at us as we stood outside of the playing field. Which poses a safety issue as a couple guys were still putting their masks on to get ready to enter the field. This offered a very one sided battle, and about 6 of our 10 guys were shot before we even entered the field. The only other ways down that I could find were...
1. A very steep 10 - 12 foot drop that I was not about to attempt seeing that the landing was that of several branches (sticking in several directions) from the mud posing an accident waiting to happen.
2. Was a steep climb that would cause you to completely concentrate on your climb and not on any potential enemies. And once you got down, you had no stable ground to stand on and a lot of fallen tree limbs, brush, and swamp like water to climb over and tread through.
Now that being said, I think that if the game were restructured as to allow the attacking team a way to atleast access the playing field entrance, the game would operate a lot smoother. Now don't get me wrong. I do enjoy being presented with a challenging game, but I also expect to be presented with the ability to gain access to the field with atleast a chance to engage the other team, and not just as their target with no means of cover as I attempt to enter the playing area. Also, the game was called push, and the objective was to eliminate the opposing team and send them back to the second and third bases. However, there were actually no bases and therefore no actual area that they were contained to. So when you shot them, they could go about 10 feet away and setup shop. So as you walked by to hunt down the remaining enemies, they were free to shoot you from a few feet a away as soon as your back was to them. I believe that if more realistic boundaries were setup the game would run great.
If the game setup and boundries were tweeked a little more then I believe the Rosa Rec game would offer several great challenges. But with the terrain being as swamp filled and with several steep dropoffs, I wouldn't return with only one actual entrance with no possible way off using it.
